  • A Quick Overview of how the Online Art Community can be severely toxic through the use of Online Bullying and Harassment, Tracing/Plagiarism, as well as using AI as a Tool
On a different note, I really hope I get my voice back since Covid with the combination of a sinus infection has completely destroyed it lol. I miss the bass it had lol.

Awesome guideline indeed - the fact that you with the microphone are speaking out holds a lot of weight (as opposed to toxic comments) - huge thanks Garri

So a channel like AzeAlter isn't "artistic", because he uses Ai? Seems like a pretty ridiculous argument, especially when you yourself are drawing digitally and not on paper or canvas. How does Ai hamper the ability for someone to research?

If everything is given to you with no thought or genuine deliberate choice for communication what’s the point of researching? It becomes utterly meaningless and service level. Also I don’t discredit digital art because there are those that use digital art as an extension of traditional skills. The point of research is to be inspired by other artists who are producing communication with intent not autogeneration.

The way we generally credit someone to be artistic and an artist is because it is literally handcrafted.
A fresh and even very original work that was truly handmade, makes the one who labored with it the artist.
Having a digital pen and digital canvas doesn't take away the artist-ness of that human. And that human has honed that craft so specifically that makes their work of art so identifiable.
But AI is just another search and scrape engine. The one who punched in the image they wanted is no different from someone punching in numbers on a calculator. They just have results.
And anyone can punch in an image result. There is no actual craft.
Perhaps that was the delusional part. You saw a result and equated that to being "yours" or even being "handmade".
If there is truly an AI "artist" then we should give our hands to the engineers of these software. They had orchestrated such a cmass consumptive machine, all credit must go to them.
The AI image machine and software is their chosen medium. So therefore, and if they are to be accepted into the art world, they really need to come up with something much fresher and more original.
I'm ready for AI 3D art sculpture if they haven't already. Or make the most surreal exhibitions on a museum. Or play Africa by Toto in a Namibia desert nonstop because it's art.
But hopefully they won't damage the electricity to the point of a global blackout 🕯
