If you're having trouble with this then you're probably not holding the button, what you're meant to do is: Press Triangle and Hold it after the first judgement cut then you release the button and hold it again and repeat
So basically: *Triangle* *Hold* (wait for 1 secound and no more) then *Release triangle* and repeat until vergil says "Jackpot" if he does that means you got 4 in a row perfectly Congratulations!
*reminder that you cant do more than 4 at a time, but you can swing the yamato once to reset the counter and do it again*
reminder that you can have an imperfect start which means you wont see the blue particles and feel the vibration on your controller BUT you can still keep going aslong you dont miss the second one.
Also do not forget that the A (Air) and B (Ground) judgement cuts have diffirent timings, so if you jump the timing will be diffirent than on the ground
(i personally like the air one: its faster and easier to spam and do combos with but you will be open for attacks if you're not carefull, but its up to you to decide which style you like best)

@@UltimatelyProficient its the void. He may be using those tricks to assist in timing which is a very good idea. Most people have trouble with Trick Back in 5

Hacker used the air combo starter in the opposite direction. It looks ubrealistic since people usually keep locked on in combos, and thus cannot do that

Definitely noob. Still trying to figure out the timing, best I can do is two times and that's inconsistent at best. Usually use it as a combo finisher instead or in-between mid-air
Lol same dude, getting the timing is pretty hard for me imo. I try letting go of Y/Triangle as soon as his blade lights up/or sheathed
Id say its a little less forgiving than neros max act. Definitely not easy.

Try to pay attention to the bubble from the cut. I find judgement cuts are easier to time in the air. I usually release just as the last one begins to disappear. I'm still working on the ground cuts, but I can USUALLY get 3 perfect air cuts pretty consistently. I'm no God at the game, though. I cant even get through DmD mode. And Furies still drive me insane.

I’ve played Devil May Cry for a long time but I have never been able to get the judgment cut’s timing down still practicing it man.
Teach us how to do just cut trick down cut then up cut then Down cut

Update: I've gotten better, I've learned a few combos, but still don't know how to utilize Judgement Cuts decently, so far I've only ended combos with Judgement Cuts but fail to use them mid combo

I like to start a chain of JC's with an imperfect one on the ground.
I love judgement cut. I'm between a pro and hacker virgil main due to how I learned on how to properly use judgement cut. The only thing I'm working on is the timing between the up down trick judgement cut timing to do it repeatedly. Also learning how to be a dante main as well.

Yeah I could never get used to changed controls lol, I’ve built up a strong muscle memory to default controls. It’s crazy when I see people with gunshot/summoned swords on triggers

Between Pro and Hacker, Judgement Cuts are something I've always been really good at

3 on ground, 4 in air, and yes that means a perfect 4 just cuts requires 7 near frame perfect inputs

@@Phanxify ehh stinger doesn't move you forward as much as jump+air trick+starfall, it also really depends on where in 3 you are. Both are viable

@@furious_malic7808 Well DMC 5 is my first DMC and only recently beat it on SoS Mode. To someone like me who has sunk about 30 hours Into this game and hasn't Played any of the predecessors, Judgement Cut End looks more Like a signature move than anything else on him. I mean why would anyone who hasn't played any DMC Games before think to themselves that Judgement Cut is his signature move when there is the far more flashier Judgement Cut end, Hell on Earth or Deep Stinger?
@@comradeforge To be fair Dante also has Drive but Vergil also has the far sexier Overdrive so in terms of regular attacks I could see a new player being drawn to that attack too.

The timing is later than you think
Just practice in the void for a long time trying to do judgements cuts in the air. You’ll get the hang of it!
They force the player to be slow about it so we can't spam it like the boss fight does
Try to figure it out in the air first. It took me a while, but i‘m able to spam it now. For me it‘s easier to think of „the timing of pushing & holding melee again“ instead of „the timing to release melee“. If you get down when you need to push & hold melee again, the timing of the release comes with itself. That‘s how i learned it.

@@Sol_Badguy_GG yep, but I've played on mnk all my life and touching a controller gives me seizures. I finished all from software games with mnk, all DmCs and other slashers and was just fine, but judgement cut is not my stick.

It's really a matter of timing and feeling it. Once you'll get there, it will be way easier to do it. You'll see.
False, as a proud spammer I tell you we can do much worse than just a single x4 before touching the ground! The secret is double jumping and than spam those through the whole game, is basically easy mod unlocked even in DMD, at least until you crush your face on Dante's Royal Guard.

Spammer and pro were basically the same with JC usage, except the pro did a trick in between them before doing a combo

If you can spam this move and get the last hit you're good enough if you ask me. That final cut is a bitch to nail for me.
The funny part is the pro clip looked cleaner than the hacker clip to me. As far as where I'm at, trying to hit pro, heart of a spammer though. They're just so damn satisfying to do.

I didn't know that Aerial Judgement Cuts (chains) could be done in the middle of Trick Down. I finally able to imitate the pro combo in 2 hours, but only manage up to 3 JC (not 4 like in the video). Thank you for the insight, but with my rusted fingers condition, I think I won't do that pro combo in DMC5 missions/campaigns. I'll keep my spammer gameplay like usual if I want to enjoy Must Style (SSS) mod later.😁
Ive never learned how to do that do you just hold jc as you're doing trick down or is it something else

I simply think don't wait for the animation (JC or trick up/down) ended, or don't wait for Vergil to be affected or being pulled by gravity to start to press the button for the next move. Look for the timing like in the duel games (Street Fighter, KoF, Samurai Shodown) where you jump to punch/kick your enemy then you start immediately press for a light attack - shoryuken/hadoken/special move combo move just before you landed.😁
ngl I probably should go for normal ones as a fine way to combo and then master the combo by perfectly time it so I can focus on movement and options rather then timing but ig timing is an instinct thing I shouldn't put down as well, power shall only come to those who earned it I suppose.

In between Noob & Spammer, with rare moments where I can do 1 Imperfect JC plus 3 JC. Or just 3 perfect JC, and I do mean rare. 1 Imperfect & Perfect is where I'm at now.
the timing is more consistent in the air. with ground, linking imperfect to perfect has a different timing than perfect to perfect and it's always just a little slower than you think it is. you'll get there.

Practiced trickdown JC until my fingers bled this week, so I'm finally pro now.
I'm able to pull off 2 JC in a row and on the rare occasion I get 3. The timing is the hardest part for me but feel like I'm getting better each day :)
Okay I have to say it, that trick down cancelling into judgement cut, then tricking up again, I had no idea you can do that.

I remember I tried for weeks on end and never getting the timing right, until I said “fuck it” and stopped trying, then one time I did a perfect judgement cut 4 times in a row and then figured it out, now I can do it consistently, all it took was an accident
A bit under pro, I can perfectJC's consistantly off of Rapid slash, ComboA and Arial Rave B but Screw doing that Doppleganger stuff or trick JC's (back forwards got me messed up man).
I can spam very easily, but I can't make out any combos with my Judgement Cuts yet. Also it's really fucking up my right hand.
