- In this video, top coach and service expert, Craig Bryant, explains how to do four of his best serves.
These include...
- The kicker
- Fast down the line
- Super wide sidespin
- The ghost serve
For each serve, Craig explains how to do the action and gives tips on how to use the serves to put your opponents under maximum pressure.
These serves are horrible to return. In the video, you'll see that I make lots of errors.
They do require a lot of practise, but if you can get good at these serves, you will have some great service weapons to destroy your opponents.

In my school too
Amarnath Jayanti it’s not as easy as it seems, this man has a natural aboliti to snap his wrist, frankly I personally find it easier to serve using my back hand, like otchaworov
Amarnath Jayanti- office hustles on the table ... nice
Amarnath Jayanti Ok amarnath
All the dislikes are the people who lost to these serves
I have been playing for 2 years... i learned 3/4 by myself and the 4th i tried but failed, idk they seem very basic tbh
OR people who played other people who watched this video and figured a counter.
@@pingcredible3477 all are easily countered by good players. The point of these serves isn't how can you beat that pro you can't score a point on, its how a decent casual player can gain an edge on another decent casual player. When great players play they dont do serves anything like these cause theyre all so easily counterable. The great players do really slow serves with lots of spin

Hey Tom! I just want to tell you how much I love your super duper helpful videos! Especially with Craig Bryant. It really helps me to learn and to apply the lessons when I play when you and Craig break down the lessons to the very fine details. You give multiple real time shots, slow mo shots, and great explanations in your videos! So thank you so much!

This is your best video that I have seen. Thanks so much. This was great as all 4 serves were from a similar starting position which makes them much more effective.

Because of you I learnt table tennis at my finest form
Big thanks from Sydney! Really appreciate the effort put into making these. Cheers - Dave
Great serving tutorial, however need lot's of practise to execute to anywhere near Craig's level for same. He is probably one of the best servers in our game. Fantastic to learn from him.
Agreed. You will need to practise a lot. But if you put the hard work in, then you can really move up 1, 2 or 3 levels.
He is standing in very much the same spot. From my experience (a low rated player who can enjoys putting fear in the hearts of higher rated players), changing the position right before a serve and then serving from various lengths away from the table and angles messes with club players who have been trained to expect the standard, close to the table serves, from what I have experienced. The pro trainer makes these serves look easy but it takes years and years of serving practice to get where he is. Great tips, though. The slow motion is helpful because he gets so much action with quick movements that are hard to see in real time. Thank you for video, Tom! @@TomLodziak
I am do it good get more healthy and less medicine and less doctor's. Keep going every day.if you want life keep going is the best.
@@briandrake9 The Slow motion isn't even slow enough. I get that he wants to show his frontal view for the perspective of the opponent. The problem is there is NOT enough closeup of the paddle's contact point to be able to figure out what is going on.
Sooooooooo, I guess I need to revamp the way I hold the paddle and learn the open palm legal.table tennis serve to be able to absorb this. Admittedly, it does seem the way to go and could change up.my entire ping pong philosophy mannerisms.
Not just practice but you'll need a very sticky paddle, generally those are really expensive
great video Tom, I learned some things I have not heard on any other forum/channel. Craig is outstanding as a server and teacher.
Great. Happy to help. Thanks for watching!
Many thanks for all your help, I really enjoy your teaching videos, and they have really helped my game.

Many thanks, will definitely work on these. The only one I already use is the fast down the line - I always make sure I glance at the other side of the table just before serving, to make my opponent think that's where it will be going! it usually fools them
He is excellent with explaining the "how to" of these serves. I hope he does an in-depth video on the hook serve ….(Mirano and Ito) style.
I will try that serve.
Thank you for teaching me

Good vid. This will add a lot of variety to my game.
I'm so proud of myself, that I "re-invented" 3 of these 4 serves myself. Especially "fast down the line". I can hit the edge with this one not looking there :). After watching this video I finally know the names and actual technique.
Im trying to modify the fast down the line using the Chinese pen hold
Watching this while over a lockdown. I hope I am able to serve let alone killer ones when I finally start playing again. Stay safe people.
I will practice but don't know if will be able to do it exactly. Thanks, it's amazing

Awesome video guys! Thanks so much for sharing!
Practice makes it effective ... u have to practice a lot , thanks for crucial serve info
This "4 killer serve" was really amazing guys and very effective specially on the game plan situation i did this to channel and its was really good well done tom and Craig Bryan. 👌
The gesture is tough and his control is just amazing.
As a lefty who has no serve for doubles (and serving being my main scoring method) this is massive since this sets me up on the right side for it all
Incredible. Such nice serves! thank you for sharing!
you just got your self a subscriber! the fast down the line is always my ACE on my sleeve btw ;)
My father is the TT Veterans State Champion! He is 84 years of age 😀and I have never tried to play but certainly want to play 😊

The ghost service is pretty fun.. my friends was amazed when i use that trick, since the ball is bounce back again to my side
Thank you for this video it really helped me
Amazing serves ... will try these for sure ... Thanks Craig :)

Top flight coaching, man. Thanks for the video. For reals.
Thanks a lot, excellent technique, if you show us how to take or return this serves it also help us.
Very good video. Maybe you could also explain typical mistakes in trying to practice those serves.
Thnk u,it was really usefull vedio!
Haha thank you so much. The first one is really a magic. Opponents look the racket down and they all think that the ball absolutely tends to go down
Thank you so much this will surely help

great video, it would be also great if you could make a video on how to return these services.
Great lessons. Very useful. Thanks.
Craig, I have finally mastered the kicker serve. I have something that you might want to try. You approach the serve from under the ball when you flick your wrist for topspin. I found that if you start your racket high and under you armpit and descend down to the ball to flick your wrist up just as it passes the ball at table level, it makes it look even more like backspin and makes it almost impossible to read. Let me know if you give it a try and thanks for this serve! I am developing the same serve from the backhand side as well . You can create it by doing the same thing you do with the forehand but face the table straight on when you move your paddle from right to left and down into the ball as you flick the wrist up. Have you tried this way yet?
Richard J
Hi Richard,
A good observation and you’re right that you may well be able to get more kick / topspin. The issue with doing it that way, is that you lose the possibility of creating backspin. So by starting below the ball, you can only go upwards and then you give your opponent a real opportunity to take advantage of the serve. So that’s why I try to stay behind the ball, so that I can create some doubt between backspin and topspin.
What you’ve done is great though, so much of serving is experimenting with what might work and what things could work for you and your game. Keep experimenting and good luck with your serves. 👍
@@craigyb22 thanks for fast reply:)
I can't wait to try this on my friends..
Thanks for that kick service tutorial
One of the best channels for pin pong, i would love some trickshot edition (like Pongfinity does).
j hc
A trick serve video will come out at some point this year.
Now imma teach that kid a lesson.....
The high toss is very useful if you can master it. More energy means more spin or speed. Unlike a normal toss, you can create a decent amount of top spin just by letting the ball roll down the paddle. This can also make a no-spin serve look like backspin. The main problem is consistency, since it's easy to miss the ball when there's an air current or a bright light up above.
Thanx Tom & Craig!!! Those are pretty wicked serves....hours of practice for me coming up for sure!!!
great video! Well demonstrated
