Summary of The Horde Mod:
This is an awesome mod that changes the level design of the game. Although the level design changes aren't much, each and every single one of them is unique. There's shortcuts added that weren't in vanilla game that makes routing this mod fun. Some of these shortcuts actually blew my mind!
There's also new custom made bosses! These bosses are fun, quick and offer a new challenge to the player. These bosses are programmed beautifully! There's absolutely no jank to it. Nothing much changed for the vanilla bosses, although Torizo is the most noticable change. Torizo now has more health and his divebomb attacks during his second phase is faster and he does them alot more than in vanilla. This mod has a "Extremely Lethal Mode" which is basically the "Extreme Lab Metroids" mode in vanilla but in this mod it doesn't just add more metroids into the genesis lab. It makes bosses harder, faster amd more challenging. This mode also effects the metroids, mainly the Alphas and Gammas that doesn't usually dodge missiles, with this mode enabled they now do.
This mod also adds more enemies! To be more specific, Hornoads! There's ALOT of them! Not only that, but there's different types of them! Fire breathing hornoads, EMP hornoads, Giant hornoads and etc. This aspect of the mod is what makes this version of SR-388 challenging to navigate through.
Notes:
This isn't my first playthrough. I have already played this mod multiple times so I knew where everything was.

Overall it's a 10/10!
Enjoyed every second of it!
Extras:
This mod has Multitroid support! Although it is only the ver 1.3 of Multitroid, so there's only Co-op. If you wanna try out the Co-op here's the server app in case you want to host a game yourself.

1:50:26 - getting here cracked me up, this mod has such a random sense of humor (also it seems like you didn't receive something I did when picking up that missile pack... I'm puzzled)
Oh you mean Hyper mode and Ice Wasps? You have to touch the dog to unlock those once you get 100%. In this case, I already unlocked them in my previous playthrough
@@glitzy5214 Do you gain access to that pipe by 100% completing all the areas? I finished everything and it's still broken in my game.
You access it by defeating all the Autoad Model H that are scattered throughout the game.
If you wanna check how many how you have left go to A3 (Industrial Complex) and go to the room where you first fought the Autoad Model H.
@@glitzy5214 I have one light still on and I just asked Druid on Discord if it's the weird special thing I shall not mention and he said no. So I guess I'm just missing one. There's probably a single block on the map I haven't checked yet or something.
They also appear in previous areas you've been so check again.

Is it not possible to open the door on the right of the room that shows how many of the robots are left? Or did getting them just unlock the other thing I mentioned here?
It is possible. There's a secret wall in Area 5 (Distribution Centre) that brings you behind that door to unlock it. I just didn't show it here because it was unnecessary for 100% and I was trying to get a sub 2 hour IGT for the best ending images

Does authentic difficulty change anything besides enemy health and damage output?
Pretty sure Authentic Difficulty is just a renamed Fusion mode so organic enemies have X parasites and Organic bosses or bosses that have organic parts (Torizo) will have a Core X.
Though I have not played it yet so I don't know how much that mode changes things

You know enemies don't do enough damage when a player can sit in spot getting hit over and over just spamming missiles and still win.

How get Horde mode
It's available on github the link of which can be found in the description. If you want to play other mods be sure to check out the AM2R discord server, it's where you get updated about the latest news about AM2R.
Honestly, good mod. Only problem for me is how much hp the first metroid has.
Every metroid has increased hp from what I remembered.
That and there was always one auto-dad that was extremely hard to find

Make your own suit and then put it in the suits folder.

How error of writing
I tried installing the mod but I ran into nothing but issues and complications. Nothing was explained or clear and I was stuck unable to use it.
Firstly, what gives? Secondly, I don't even want to play. I just want to hear the music. Is there anywhere I can find just the sounds for the mod?
1. I can't help you. There's a few reasons why it could go wrong but I wouldn't know it if you don't tell me your step by step process of how you installed it.
2. The music are all from the Shinesparkers I believe. I currently don't have my PC here. So I can't give detailed instructions. Check out the AM2R discord and ask for help in the The Horde Discussion channel.
