I do enjoy that this version as it is highlights both the language that Poe imagined everything in, and displays more visually both the Carnivale and at the same time Fortunato's unfounded arrogance. As mad as Montresor may have been, Fortunato's faux refinement is clear to anyone with even a passing modicum of knowledge about both wine and being a connoisseur of any kind.
Expect that guys are already old. There’s no way Montessori could have written a confession fifty years later at that age. But that’s just a small nitpick.
It's obviously Spanish, but in the short story was set in Italy(going by the names and info given in the story, however the actual setting was never disclosed) I imagine a few hundred years ago, say the 15 or 1600's. Anyone else have an opinion on this?
The most faithful adaptation I've ever seen! Poe himself would approve!
it really isnt, but its probably the most well made one out there
Uno de los mejores cuentos de Edgar Allan Poe. El video capta la esencia del relato. Me encantó.
I liked this. Hearing it in the language that Poe imagined the characters speaking in lends an air of authenticity to it...
+theproplady Thank you very much.

Doesn't he stab fortunato?
No, he ends up burying him alive instead.
I know he does but when he says he grabs his rapier and starts groping around and instantly feels satisfied I thought that ment he stabbed him.
