I don't want to change NTFS to FAT32 since I want the external drive to still be read/writeable from Windows.

Change it to exFat. It's better.

@@PY4004SWL NTFS historically was driven by Windows (alas, Microsoft). There is not incentive for Apple to play along. Of course to us users, it'd be an ideal and perfect that they all play nice and everything is plug-and-play, and we won't have to carry numerous cables and adapters, for a start. Oh well.

@@NinPossible The idea that one of them is "better," is folly to me. All I want, is compatibility. I don't want to have to switch from one to another. In an ideal world, they should *not* be mutually exclusive.

@@s.l.3673 I meant exFAT is better than FAT32 and it's compatible on both OS.

Thank you for that good info. I've been using Macbook air 2015 but recently upgrade for M1 Air. Even though my old Air run my hard-disk, M1 doesn't. Couldn't get it why. And If I install this app, my hard-disk memory won't effect right? I don't wanna lose anything and wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Ventura ruined it. It's the OS's fault. I still don't know how to do it. All I do now is use Windows 11 on Parallels.

I just want to write to a NTFS disk for a samsung TV use of a USB!!!!!!!!! NO FAT32, it is worthless for 256 gb usb. CAN you just list the damn commands on the site instead of rushing through them on the video? Geez! I do not need to pay more $$$ for another app that does not work.
