I'm sorry the channel has been a little bit of a struggle and I'm really glad you have such great support in your life! I know that for me this time of year has just been so busy it's been hard to keep up with the creators I follow, so I hope things settle for you. I think Gavin from Gavin Reads it All recently discussed a similar struggle in his goals video so I wonder if that would be helpful for you to see.

Hello Katie! I've been watching your videos since Ally's recommendation and caught up on your older content too. I am a big fan of your videos! We readers are introverted so I don't usually comment but I want you to know I love your videos so much. I save them for when I'm feeling bad during the week and they never fail to cheer me up. I can't speak to what appeases the algorithm and brings in new viewers, but for me personally, I can feel your joy when you speak about the things you love in reading and life (like your doggies or your partner!!) and that joy is so contagious! I can also feel your stress when you push yourself for us or to finish these ambitious videos by a certain time. I am actually relieved when you take a break, even if I do miss your content! I wish you all the luck with your channel goals but I also hope you never stop making content that brings you joy

Have you read Half A Soul? That is a cozy fantasy-romance. I also loved The Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking, although I think that is pitched for a younger audience. Have a wonderful 2024! I look forward to your videos.

@@katiemariereads I really wanted to but it fell flat for me. I watched it after a long day so that might have affected the experience but I was very conscious of the time slowly passing by. There are some people that love it though so it seems like its one where you either get it or you don't and I'm in the latter category unfortunately.

I love all your videos! Since finding you (Thanks Aly for sending me here!) I've been slowly watching every video you have and I love your vibe and comfort that comes through the screen. Your boyfriend is amazing, that is so sweet of him to go and comment on the video and his name change to the fan club. I love all the videos you post as we have very similar reading tastes. I did watch the goodreads choice video and I do admit I enjoyed it a lot, but if you decide to do another goodreads choice video, I feel like maybe it should be one where you read the winners of each category (that you enjoy) so if you like fantasy read that but if you dislike nonfiction don't read that one! I think it would be an interesting video if you do decide to go that route. But sending love, and as many of my friends IRL and online to you because you are one of my top favorite booktubers

Studio (jib) ghibli is how the actually Japanese character the studio uses is pronounced

"The Boy and the Heron" is not based on the book "How do you live", it's inspired by it because Miyasaki read it as a boy. The book is appearing in one scene, but not more. I would have liked to know that before watching the film. Because I was confused too.
