Thank you! Didn’t realise I actually had “drop zones”…1 is a laundry basket that gets filled with all the stuff my 18 year old son leaves around the place and gets shoved into his room on Sunday afternoon with his work clothes etc ( and rapidly close the door) ,
2. Is for keys etc, on the second shelf of book case at front door BUT now it’s going to get a nice bowl,and 3 is a little table outside the front door for any parcels that get delivered ( still contactless in Victoria) and any new plants and gardening equipment that needs to come out of the car but can be either planted or put in the right place in an hour or 2. Gee I ramble on sorry but feel inspired with these helpful videos.cheers bishy 🐨🥂

I gave my husband a drawer in the kitchen, i put my things away works great.

Your home is beautiful! Have you ever seen The Clutter Bug? Not that you need her because you don't. But she helps people find their own personal organising style. And looking at your home through the videos, you like to me like a butter fly... very visual with your things, but macro- organised (general categories, instead of super detailed. I'm still in process of de- cluttering my home, but some of it is in maintenance mode, or at least de-cluttered enough to start making maintenance habits while I continue to de- clutter my house. Cass's videos (the clutter bug ) really helped me to start discovering my style as I de-clutter and organise. I'm convinced I'm a cross between a butterfly and lady bug (both are macro organisers, but a butterfly is visual and a lady bug wants everything hidden. They both need their c things just c as easy to put away as x they are to take out and use.).
Sounds like I'm probably a lady bug as I don't want to see me stuff 😂
@The.LifeWithLori ah OK. I pegged you wrong then. Yeah, I had a hard time figuring me out. Whether I want it put where I can see it or hidden depends on several factors. What room I'm in at tge time and the types of tasks and activities I'm doing in there, the amount of soace and believe it or kot, tge shape of tge soace (closets, daraers, cabinets, shelves) and how my things fit in that space, as well as whether the thing looks at all pleasing to me when it's not hidden, all play a part in whether I hide it or keep out on an open shelf or in an open basket or whether I keep it behind closed doors and in drawers.
