It can vary from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars but some basics are essential. Your choices are from vaseline, aquaphor to Alastin Regenerative Nectar followed by Restorative skin complex, and while you don't have to spend a lot of money to achieve good results, Alastin Regenerative Nectar helps optimize your results.

    After my deep plane facelift my doctor gave me an Alastin pack with the nectar, moisturizer, cleanser, and sunscreen. I think it’s working. I’m 21 days post op and my healing is going very well. I have very sensitive skin and was concerned about irritation but I haven’t had any.

    Two days ago I had the fraxel dual laser procedure and I'm using the Alastin Nectar which was recommended by my derm. This stuff feels just wonderful when I apply it to my "wounded" skin. Thank you for the detailed explanation of how it works to facilitate healing. I like it so much I may continue using it after I heal from the laser treatment. It is expensive but I justify it by saying if I'm already spending so much on the laser procedure, I want to optimize my results going forward in the coming months. Also, thank you to others who suggest mixing the Serum with other products like moisturizers.

      You can use either. The Nectar is very soothing and gentle. Also water free so it has a silicone feel. The complex feels more like a moisturizer and can sting sensitive irritated skin. They both have the same amount of TriHex

    How soon after microneedling can I put on Vaseline? My concern was using Vaseline too early and having it seep into the micro channels of the skin. Thank you!

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  Před 2 lety +2

      The vaseline is occlusive so it sits on the skin like a bandaid, it won't penetrate but you can wait a few hours. Usually the microneedling is followed by a serum, booster or PRP so after a few hours or in the evening
