The effort Captain Mike puts into is videos is impeccable. Underrated channel!
Watching your videos took me back to my days as a kid with my dad and his frie ds taking the boats put to Elliot Key, Soldier, Chita etc. Thank you for sharing this video and your memories. I have a 2 and a 4 year old, just recently got into boating myself. Took for granted all the years my dad owned all things boat ND sea related. Ironic that he's 75 now and hes the one getting me up to soeed. Watching your videos in Elliot Key takes me back 40 years in time.

This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen you do. Thanks for sharing part of your childhood with us.
great video Captain Mike, lot's of things to do with a boat in south florida, I feel privileged since this is also my back garden and I often take the family there. Early morning fishing then hop along the family by midday for thier time to enjoy the boat. Heliott key has some of the best swimming areas around. I am not an expert but the best memories that are deeply engraved from childhood are places where we feel relaxed and safe. A picnic day , a road trip, a day on the boat, it's important for kids to feel the parents are relaxed that gives them a feeling of safety and that stays in memory as great times so it needs to be something simple, no headache to organize and no stress . I hope my kids will have good memories like that and will in turn favor this kind of day outing to amusement parks or the kinds. I see you are having a great time and also display nostalgia, I wish for you to take your own kids one day to such relaxing and fun but simple outings.

Captain, thank you for sharing with me your environment, Florida and skyscrapers and oceans and beaches and boating facilities which is all foreign to a boy in New Zealand, old boy that is. Thoroughly enjoyed you sharing this, thank you.

Ain't that the truth
Nice boat, you did a great job on that one. My best friends owned Ragged Key #4 and 5 when we were kids. I basically grew up out there when the fishing was still great. On Ragged Key #5 they had two 80' house boats that were very luxurious with AC and all the amenities you could imagine. They bought them from President Nixon who used them for parties when he lived on Key Biscayne. There were 3 diesel Onan gen sets that were rotated on a regular basis that kept the island powered at all times. We went out there during the sixties to late 70's and I remember fishing many times for over 24 hours without sleeping. I used to know the waters around those islands like the back of my hands. The amount of large Tarpon back then around March was mind boggling. There were Cuberas under the house boats that went over twenty pounds. We were never sure if they were Cuberas or Grey Snappers as they looked identical. Nice boat BTW, I built two of those in 87 and 91. SeaVee kit boats from Don McGee. One was a single 200 merc with 160 gallons and the last was a twin 200 merc with 240 gallons. That one could top out at 66 MPH. Great fishing memories from both of those boats. Enjoy!
That water makes me want to move there
Love this video Man! One of my favorites. Also, I know a Venezuelan accent when I hear it. Pretty cool that you talk to her in Spanish dude. Damn I love your boat more and more every video! I miss south florida 😭😭😭 north FL ain't got nothing on South fl and the keys.
That boat would look really nice with a large black and stainless Bimini top. You can have it up with maximum shade for leisure boating days and quickly remove it for hard core fishing days.
27.5 gallons Beautiful water!
Winner! Please email us your shirt size and address to Mike AT reelreports DOT com

What are some of the better boat ramps to launch from there?
Captain Mike,
Your videos are excellent! I grew up boating in the Midwest on the Mississippi and Illinois rivers. My goal is to have a place in south Florida before the end of summer and be out on the water. This video inspires me to work even harder to reach that goal and live life in the spirit that mirrors what’s in this wonderful video.
Thanks so much for sharing! Your productions are top notch. Your drone work is also excellent. I fly myself. I have a mavic 3 and a mini 3 pro.
Safe travels my friend 🙏🏾

I'm not a boat person after I've experienced having our boat capsized when I was just an 8-year old boy. But man, after watching this video and your other videos, I felt it rekindled my love for the sea and boating. That feeling made me subscribed to your channel. Thanks for uploading all these wonderful videos!
Cool video bro! Surprised I haven’t ran into you. Maybe one day we will. Dale! 👍🤙
Nice video - great way to take a break! - 30.5 gallons
Great Content. You got a New Subscriber
Recently started watching boating vids. Notices some straight and curved lines in the waters. Are these prop marks in the shallows?
Yes
What navigation app do you use ?
19 gallons. I hope to get down there one day. I am in Pensacola and want to visit!
Para arriba , para abajo, para el centro , y pa dentro . Nice footage brother. I boat in south texas , but waters are not as beautiful are Florida. Very nice 👌
Gracias Marcos
Great video! 48 gallons used.
I love this channel … live in dallas and looking to keep a 22 foot fishing boat in Miami. What marina would be your number 1 pick?
If you live in Dallas tx why would you keep a 22ft boat in a marina just keep it on a trailer in boat storage. Unless you are thinking of indoor dry stack storage but I think I would still keep it on a trailer and find somewhere more inland. Actually you might not have a tow vehicle in Miami so maybe dry dock is the best option
Yes an indoor dry stack storage .. where would you recommend in Miami or upper keys? I want to be able to fly into the airport and get to boat and have it in the water with the least amount of hassle
Awesome video 📹
Love the new boat layout. 28 gallons.
Phones are distractions! But it also let me watch this video!.. 🤣 I try to do the same especially on the water. Love the channel 💯 21 gallon is my guess??
. Beautiful boat and video. 17 gallons.

Hey captain Mike. I want to take my family to Chita/Elliot for Father's day weekend. How were the mosquitoes? Any tips? Thanks brother.
Captian, haven’t seen any content lately. Hope all is good. Heard Red fish might be running. Any your way?
