    The biggest snub is Charles Melton and I really think people are sleeping on American Fiction; I had a feeling Sterling K. Brown would get in at SAG.

    I think the SAG Committee did not miss the point that Barbie actually won the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in The Golden Globes.
    The actors are proud of Margot's portrayal of Barbie and Ryan Gosling's greatusical talent and his attractive personality in Barbie.
    Both shows did well in the box office moreover.
    Barbie is going to be like EEAAO last year. Michelle Yeoh is well known to American audiences unlike Sandra Huller or Greta Lee and EEAAO also has attractive visual camera works just like Barbie but it added lung fu stumys and Barbie added dazzlingusical performances.

    Poor things missing ensemble means oppenheimer is likely winning best picture

  • @khoohockleong7585

    Barbie also explores life just like EEAAO
    It shows how a doll living a secluded life with everything well taken care for her, got a rude shock when she came face to face with the outside world and how she manage to overcome obstacles. Role expectations change from the Barbie world to the outside. It shows that the male gender cannot cope that well as compared to the female gender.
    The actors LOVE this kind of theme. It touches their soul and it brings out a major preamble about the female gender.

    May December is really on a shaky ground. No Bafta and no SAG is concerning cause those two unlike BFCA and Globes are industry votes, much of who also vote at the Oscars. Melton miss in not that surprising and im not sure he will make it at the Oscars cause his performance becomes impressive only if you watch the whole film, and i can see many voters just turning it off after 20 minutes. PLus he is an unknown and Todd Haynes films, the ones that were more Oscar friendly (Far from heaven and Carol) also underperformed. May December also offers a trio of very unlikable or annoying characters plus add the fact that the story is based on a very controversial topic, that all will turn off a lot of voters. I personally really wish they get nominated, especially Moore who gives a much more complex performance than half of the actual supporting actress contenders.

  • @khoohockleong7585
    @khoohockleong7585 Před 5 měsíci

    Another thing is I think the acting crowd actually quite like Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie performances. And so does the world. So they may even win at the Oscars.
    I mean who cares about the themes of ethnic people in The Killers of the Flower Moon or the history of the atomic bomb which is a heavy talkie as far as performances are concerned (I think Jeffrey Wright or Paul Giomatti may win) or a Frankenstein theme of Poor Things even though it explores the theme of life in an outdated setting.
    I have not seen American Fiction yet but Paul Giomatti's performance was very touching and full of class. Something Harry Tonto and his cat who the Lead Actor Oscar in the 70s but Paul's performance is classier. He is not the dowdy man that O thought he was.

    I think Bening has a good chance to be the 5th nominee. Not all nominees will be from a best picture so IMO I took out Carey Mulligan and put in Bening. Jodie Foster may lose out in a supporting category to America Ferrera or someone else in a stronger movie. Actress seems to be a category where one nominee movies are more likely to get into. Supporting seems to be more about the strong movies and the performances in them.

    • @antoniodjordjevic9493
      @antoniodjordjevic9493 Před 5 měsíci

      i disgree about supporting cause last year Paul Dano missed for an actor in a really small film with only BFCA nom. Balfe missed to Jessie Buckley in a weaker film. I do agree that Bening might really happen, Beside Mulligan its the only transformative, biopic performance and she and Foster seem to come in a package.Foster is def. stronger than Bening but to most of Academy members best acting is usually the most acting and the beloved veteran overdue actress fits the bill of that.Its also on Netflix so every voter either will watch or already had watched this film.

    • @tonyg76
      @tonyg76 Před 5 měsíci

      Dano was replaced by Judd hirsch from the same movie he was in because Hirsch is older. Balfe was also replaced by Judi Dench who was older and in the same film.

    Barbie"s screenplay neats Anatomy of a Fall
    The Golden Globes made the erong. If Barbie was not nominated in that category )I have not vhecked) then they dhould have momonated it and awarded the Screenplay win to Barbie.

    May December according to The Oscar Experts the lighting throughout the show is very poor
    I agree. Pulls the whole show down.
    Plus the screenplay and editing is hard to follow.
    Julianne Moore although she was goodm her character is not properly fleshed out by the writers whether Original or Adapted
    Only towards the last part of the show you can really see her face behind the mask.

    Annette Benning like I said will not be nominated at the Oscars
    Or would she? Oó think Greta Lee. Sandra Huller do not have the popular appeal with the Oscars. Phantasia Brrino also. S role that is too much like Barbara Streisand in Funny Girl. Too out dated this kind of singing but supporting roles still okay.
    Do Annette Benning may get in. Her role epitomises the American Spirit
