Americans know they could vote for other than top candidate from each party, but Dems always go with their top guy no matter how embarrassing, feeble minded, liar, criminal - but if Repubs did that, because Repubs do have more reliable and sensible candidates, that would divide the Repub votes and neither one would have a chance at winning against the ONE DUMBOCRAT. And dont forget about the Electoral College - Dems seem to forget that the EC doesn't have to vote for the party candidate if they really dont believe that candidate is the better choice.
