- People often ask me what are the best items to flip for profit. I also get the question of which Market is best to flip in. In this video I provide the Metrics I look for in determining whether or not an Item is worthy of flipping.
This is my longest video so far, so timestamps are below:
Timestamps
2:00 - #1. Margins & Fees
3:35 - #2. 4 Week Price
5:00 - #3. Demand
6:04 - #4. Competition
7:58.- #5. Target Profit per Day (Subjective)
12:12 - Caution if Items Sell too Quickly (e.g. Mule Glitch)
13:00 - Searching for Items

Hey guys. Everyone always asks me what are the best items to flip so I did my best in this video to address that question. I also included timestamps since this is a very long video. Hope it helps!

Can u make clear calculation for the margin thing?
Good video thanks
Is there a video with a link to any of the sheets u use to calculate silver for flips?
1minute in and i already like the topic and suggestion you're giving. subbed! you need more subscriber imo.
Appreciate it! I didn't expect to get 500 subs in only a month, so I'm pretty happy so far.
Good video! Keep it up.
Thanks!
This was really helpful ty :D
Nice. Glad it could help!!
This was hands down the most useful video I've ever seen on market manipulation. You explained this all very concisely.
I'm a pretty casual player, so leaving my silver tied up in the market is fine. I've been gathering/crafting gear out of things I've gathered (and just selling raw material) and I've gained maybe 5 million silver over the course of my play (only have 3.6m atm, but I have 3 mill in gear stashed, some bought, some made) so I think I can make good use of this 😁
Awesome. Thanks for the comment. Yeah the items you flip really depends on those factors u mentioned. Every type of player can make money flipping if they find which item(s) work best for them!
thanks for the consistency ! do you planning livestream on twitch further ?
Thanks for watching! I have some other CZcams channels I'm working on so no time for live streaming unfortunately.
great nature staff 4.1 were being sold for 30K in black market from which i made around 3 mil but some dude revealed it in reddit and now its back to 12k with around 2% profit
Oh wow that was a nice find. Sorry it didnt last too long.
Awesome videos. I love playing markets in MMOs, and Albion provides a great environment for that. For the flipping strategy, how long do you wait to update an order? I'm just starting, and the biggest challenge appears being overbid/underbid. I'm pretty impatient and want to do it within hours if I've dropped a few spots, but that would probably cost me more money than I need to. I'm using a 50% profit margin minimum for now to try and account for that. Thanks for any feedback you can offer.
Appreciated, thanks for watching! Personally I update orders twice per day which leaves me getting outbid on high competitive items so I try to focus on medium/low competition items with decent profit. It's not a great answer, but use trial and error to find items that work best for your time schedule/budget. It took me like 3 months I'd say before I found a group of profitable items that fit into my twice a day "order updating schedule". That's the biggest challenge in flipping imo; finding the items and then testing to see how quickly you get outbid to see if it's even profitable to flip it (e.g. without getting killed with fees). Hopefully this helped.
@@IndieProgressPlaysAlbion-me8gh Yes, even knowing it takes trial and error helps. As a follow-up, how often do you cancel orders? As I figure out what works and what doesn't, I'm thinking it makes sense to cut my losses once in a while. That's probably a trial and error thing, too, but I'd like to know your thought. Thanks again. I subbed & liked all your videos by the way. 🙂
@@majesticwombat8429 Usually I only cancel if the margin becomes less than 15%. Otherwise I just edit it.
@@IndieProgressPlaysAlbion-me8gh Nice. I like having rules to work from. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for the great video! I only started out, put in about 3m and on the same day I have 4.5m back! All this on mounts + potions.
EXCELLENT! Nice job!
Good Content bro! Can we do this without premium?
Thanks! Yes but you will have to pay 8% sell fee vs. 4% with premium.
Hi, are you gonna make a new video updated with this subject?
Hey I probably won't remake this because I still use the same process today for flipping. The concepts still hold true for the long term even though prices change every day. I may make more individual category flipping videos. I made videos on flipping Bags, Capes and Cloth Armor so far if you want to check them out. I also made a Market Calculator spreadsheet which would be helpful for you: czcams.com/video/wXASLsHEqw8/video.html. Good luck!
@@IndieProgressPlaysAlbion-me8gh thanks for reply, take care, see you at the field mate!!!!!
What about the fee when your buy order never gets filled? does it happen a lot to you when you flip huge amount of objects?
Yes if you place large buy order quantities u will likely get outbid. I prefer smaller quantities. But it really is different per item and you have to experiment until you find what qty works best for you.
The quantity, I find, depends on how often you check for outbids
Is it carleon again?all your flipping need to go black market?
No this is Martlock
The black market gives amazing profits for items like t3 capes and such. Transporting through redzone is relatively safe in my opinion haven’t been killed once and I have done this 20+ times.
How to calculate profit margin easily?
Hey personally I just use a calculator and divide the buy order and sell order prices. You can use the calculator on your computer, phone, google, etc.
When it says for example to update the order costs 23k every time I update it am I just loosing 23k.
Yes. I would recommend not choosing such expensive items when u start flipping.
@@IndieProgressPlaysAlbion-me8gh I see I see, so at some point if it’s too competitive it’d just not be worth it yeah?
@@ItzSubliminal yup exactly. Its a trial and error process which takes some time to learn. Especially bc there are so many items.
@@IndieProgressPlaysAlbion-me8gh gotcha I’ll probably do it in small bursts since I make most my money from PvE at the moment, thanks for the vids though man I enjoy them have a nice day.
@@ItzSubliminal appreciate it. Thanks and good luck.
The donkey glitch is not a glitch. After a certain weight you can't move. But normal t2 bow has movement in one of the spells. It takes about 30 minutes to reach bridgewatch with 10,000+ donkeys if you want.
But you are limited by silver in tutorial. You can't use gold. So farming mobs for 30-40 minutes makes you about 40-50k silver.
3 silver per donkey / 40k silver and 30 minutes of bow movement and you made millions in mules. But since everyone is doing it the market crashed.
Thanks for the explanation. I thought they would only make it 1 qty per person in the tutorial in the next patch since its only 3 silver each. But if that was intended I guess not!
@@IndieProgressPlaysAlbion-me8gh maybe they would restrict movement on the bow to a certain carrying capacity. Because now technically you can haul 150,000+ mules which is stupid IMO.
You could also use that technique to transport millions of items without mammoths. I know a team of three who transported with this technique.
2 people flag up for pvp and push one dude with spells and glaive, grave guard armour and other things they are on low IP gear so do less damage.
The person who is being pushed uses a druidic staff to heal. You can also have another healer If necessary.
The speed was faster than fully loaded mammoths.
If the devs don't fix this.
Mammoths vs in game poverty + power of friendship will be an interesting battle for sure.
@@saladmancer8151 ha thats insane! Actually impressive how people figure out these loopholes.
Donkey abuse is only for macro botters, if u try to get 999 donkeys manually u have to waste like 45min in front of market picking them one by one, this is not worth your time for that 400k, but if u have macro and cheating u can just farm 50k silver and then leave your pc for like 10h and get something but this is illegal. Hope so before they fix this by remove this e on bow ability they will also check all the buyer who did this and ban most of them.
Rn this trick isnt work anymore
I don’t understand how you got 90 percent 517 is 52.01 percent of 994 so I don’t really understand the first one
You buy for 517 and sell for 994. I do 994/517 which is 1.92. Essentially making almost double your money, but after fees closer to 80% profit.
