The fact that you have the money to buy it...dont mean that you KNOW HOW TO FLY IT! As an avid rc modeler pilot / instructor im sure this guy knows NOTHING about rc HELICOPTERS. SAD, but TRUE!
Sad that those guys died for nothing. Imagine how their folks feel. They birthed and raised them to such a fine age just to leave this world like this. Tragedy.
When I saw the first shaky attempt to lift this great machine up I thought "ooops". It's sad that this nice turbine model was destroyed in such a brutal way. Sorry for the Pilot! Maybe it would be a good plan to train first on the simulator and then on a small but strudy model like the OMPHOBBY M2 EVO. I hope the Pilot does not loose his interest in helis.
"Although it(The helicopter) crashed I loved your work. The item was very detailed and well put together. This was an A+ (plus) job. You are very good builders. You are number one in my book. "👍
Sorry for your experience! They can be very difficult to fly. As someone else stated, get plenty of time on a simulator first. A lot of it is muscle memory. Practice, practice, practice. A crash on a simulator is much cheaper than a real one. Don't give up! Some of the most difficult skills offer the greatest rewards. At least you had the fortitude to show what can happen. For that, I salute you!
It's called dynamic rollover, look it up on CZcams. Once you have reached the critical angle, it's not recoverable. Only way was collective full down as soon as it dug in on one side....
@lookylook570 Try balancing a ten pin bowling ball on a small marble! Last Stat I saw was out of 200,000 plus AMA members, only 10% are able to successfully fly a model helicopter.
@@joewilson9744 not at all, I've been flying RC helicopters for almost 30 years now an although it does require a bit of dedication anyone can fly it, but it is not like a drone, of course.
The build is eventually questionnable, e.g., servos cables should be flex, not tight and straight line to the Bavarian Axon (see at 5'54). As recommended by the manufacturer, see page 4 of Axon user manual, section "Use the supplied mounting tape". Note Axon is top class device anyway. I'm not saying its the main cause of the crash but may have eventually contributed (this is a 1:6 scale kit to be fully assembled by heli expert, here using an expensive Jakadowski turbine).
You can clearly see the heli is not even trimmed out the right way. He is trying to take off and the heli is all over the place. He has no clue what he is doing.
I am not sure the pilot was bad. I think he should have stopped trying to get it off the ground and get it back on the bench when he started having problems. Looks like either an issue with vibrations (it seemed to me like the tail was vibrating a lot) or with Center of Gravity. Either way sad ending for so many hours putting together such a detailed model.
This is why you always test fly the mechanics before installing them into a scale fuse. Couldn’t tell if he had one of the gyros reversed or if he was literally a newbie. Very sad to see so much work and money just get wasted in an instant.
He was determined to crash it. Obvious wasn't set up right. With the amount of work and $$$$ involved he shouldn't have been so anxious. The first attempt to lift off was obvious it needed better setup
And THAT is what you call doin the Funky Chicken ..jokes aside it is a sad thing to see happen ,, but it is NOT the first or last time THAT will ever happen in this hobby ,,
That was painful to watch and as someone who has crashed rc Helis to its painful when it happens, there's pilots who have crashed and those who are about to crash.
People with money and not brains, you let the best pilot tested first. Plus you flight the heli before you do all that detail and work, make sure the heli is reliable.
This is what happen when you have money and no experience, mate next time try first with a simulator and a t rex 450, that kind of scale models are only for pro pilots, good luck next time.
Duh… that was to much chopper for inexperienced RC pilot. Boom trainer with hula-hoop on the skids would be a better choice instead of Scale Huey ! Waste of money…when you put carriage on the front of horse 😂
Maybe you should actually learn how to fly a helicopter before building a turbine powered helicopter and trying to fly for the first time because this is what will happen every single time.
Yeah, a toy that probably cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $5K. That "toy" in the wrong hands can kill! More than one pilot has been decapitated by one of those "toys"!
Maybe learn to fly a much cheaper helicopter first?
Ummmmm....Yessss...exactly.
The fact that you have the money to buy it...dont mean that you KNOW HOW TO FLY IT!
As an avid rc modeler pilot / instructor im sure this guy knows NOTHING about rc HELICOPTERS.
SAD, but TRUE!
The pilot should step back to a nice coaxial helicopter. He's way out of his league
The pilots just laying on the floor sent me🤣
Is it me, or did that crew all look American? 🤣🤣🤣
Is it me, or did that crew all look American? 🤣🤣🤣
Is it American or did that crew all look me?
More rc budget than flying skill.
Lost alot of good men that day.
🤣
Naw they were laying right there. Lol
Sad that those guys died for nothing. Imagine how their folks feel. They birthed and raised them to such a fine age just to leave this world like this.
Tragedy.
🤣😂
🤣🤣
They died all because a Rich Spoiled wet behind the ears little Joey didn’t know how to command.
This must have been one of those " HOLD MY BEER " moments .
Real sad to see 😣😬
No fatalities 😅
Someone notify Barbie that Ken won’t be coming back from the war.
clever

Blade balance looked very very bad. Blade pitches? who knows. Sad we lost four good men and a beautiful bird.
RIP
@@rayclark7963 may I know how u can tell the poor blade balance ?
"Although it(The helicopter) crashed I loved your work. The item was very detailed and well put together. This was an A+ (plus) job. You are very good builders. You are number one in my book. "👍
3 fatalities
Looked tail heavy. Boom hit the ground at one point. Then pilot tried to compensate with heavy nose down.
It was an actual crash scene. You would think that he would have started with a toy first. That was not a toy.
Yes sir 👍

Could you recommend a good RC simulator for Apple computers? Thanks.
Hardly huge, there are much larger Rc helis. She was badly out of trim which caused the crash, also pilot inexperience.
Yes sir 👍
It's called dynamic rollover, look it up on CZcams. Once you have reached the critical angle, it's not recoverable. Only way was collective full down as soon as it dug in on one side....
Yes sir, much appreciated your comment.
Its called No Experience
Who thought that this was a good idea? One totaled helicopter and four fatalities!
helicopter looked fine, pilot just didn't know how to fly helicopters. dude get a flight simulator before you buy the big toys!
How hard could it be?

Flying this particular helicopter as your first effort.....Not a good idea!
@@joewilson9744possible to repair ? Rotor is very fragile and maybe not easy to repair 😮😢
In order to be a "crash" the helicopter first must actually fly, this did not leave the ground.. so it cannot be called a crash.
At least he didn't drop it into a crowd...RVN 71-72 CW2
when he realizes that gta helicopter flying made no sense
bassed on what I was seeing he had absolutely NO background in helicopters... Terrible job flying.. Very accomplished job crashing!!!
I'm so sorry man, I know it hurts, i crashed my jet. Rebuild and go again!
They got more money than sense.
Was this his first attempt at flying a copter? Pretty expensive experiment.
Wrong set up.
Yes, maiden fly, but wrong set up.
Looked like a pretty realistic crash to me....
I would recommend Arducopter for scale heli's.

OUCH, that was painful to watch! 😢 Which flight controller (FBL) are you using?
I feel sorry for the grass that was chopped up

Very realistic. Sorry to see but they are not easy to fly.

Even the GI Joe’s look like they want out.
So sad and only one crew member survived.
LOL That’s not a crash.
That’s a poor attempt at something vaguely resembling a take-off.
*Rest in Peace to all those soldiers, they shall be dearly remembered for their service...*
Not even a Take off, I looks more an Auto disdruction than a Crash.
I bet this is what they saw in Afghanistan after United States left…
the pilot in the copter tried to take over the controls.
What a waste through no experience !😮
He was determined to crash it. Obvious wasn't set up right. With the amount of work and $$$$ involved he shouldn't have been so anxious. The first attempt to lift off was obvious it needed better setup

Oof. He needs to practice/train with a smaller (less expensive) heli with training gear attached, and have an experienced pilot to guide him.
Not really a crash landing when the helicopter never really left the ground before flipping on its side! This definitely was pilot error.
I got a wrong set up 😢
At the moment it seemed tail heavy, a shut down and weight and balance check is needed.
Thanks
Should have kept it on the shelf for looks.
Oh man, too bad! Rebuild it if even possible, then add a gyro for better stability.
Two words...flight controller!
Ein wahrer Experte an der Fernsteuerung 😂
Get to the choppa, negative, we got a Huey down , call in a dust off we got casualties😢
I feel his pain however that was pilot error plain n simple

If you are going to fly a turbine, you DON'T do it at what looks to be a public park and you sure has hell need to know how to fly.

Oh ohh….😮 The hood’s up, time to go to the garage.🤣🤣
