I like the normal without the scope because of the store charge. My favorite is Moray Towers, even though the stock charger dosen't have enough range, but with store charge you can jump and shoot mid jump. It it feels AMAZING.
It's a 50/50 for me. When I played splatoon 1 i would rek with the scoped kelp charger. Then in Splatoon 2 I decided to be more open minded and I'm trying to use regular scoped, hero splat charger, and regular Eliter. It's sometimes successful but i always drift back to the scoped splat charger.

I personally feel rank is easier to snipe people in mainly because everyone is grouped in one area. Splat Zones, everyone's near the zones. Rainmaker, everyones either attacking or protecting the person with the rainmaker, so they're all close to each other. Tower Control is literally a splatting mania for sniping because everyone goes on the tower. Turf War is for the snipers that challenge themselves and if they get more than 5 kills in Turf War they're really good, but you're really talented with sniping! :)

The splatterscope is actually easier than the splat charger so if ur a beginner then I recommend training with the splatterscope, and then move on to the splat charger

Idk, I feel like the charger can be such an overpowered weapon if put in the right hands. Its long distance, it takes one single shot, you have the option to have it as a scope or not, and its such a great way to help your team All you need to learn is how to aim, get used to all the splatoon 2 maps, and find your confidence in the weapon. It might seem hard, but it really isn't, because any practice makes perfect I have become so good at the weapon that its the only weapon that Im good with playing. No questions asked
