  • Driveway surface is scarified by lag bolts driven through 3x3; ridges levelled by angle iron bolted to underside of drag, and smoothed by floating angle iron trailed behind the drag. Wheels are from and old lawn tractor mounted on 3/4" bolts captured between 2x4s serving as an axle. Screw for lift mechanism is from an old woodworking leg vise. Its coarse thread speed s up the liftl, but a threaded rod could be used.

You should make some plans for that with a materials list:) I would buy one from you, it looks real simple and practical and it works! Thanks for sharing

The best one I've seen so far . Wish you do a parts list . How did you get the wheels on it ?

I used discarded front wheels from a lawn tractor. The axles are just 6" long bolts that are sandwiched between two 2x4s. Holes drilled into the ends of the 2x4s a bit smaller than the diameter of the bolts. They've held up well for several years.

how did you get that clean edge line with the gravel?

Actually I run along the edges with my rototiller! Only once or twice a year. I've also since added springs to force that trailing angle iron downwards as it was mostly just bumping along behind without doing much levelling.
