Great enclosure. Our family had tortoises and they had the run of a very secure garden Many of the enclosures recommended are so small - and cruel. Leave them out as much as possible and have a few tortoises. You are showing how it should be done

Hi there, I live in the uk and my marginated tortoise is getting big! I want him to live outside all the time but I’m worried it will get to cold for him in the winter:( can you give me any advice on what you do with your tortoises? Thank you

@@kellywilson5887 mine have a heat bulb in the shed which is on every morning for an hour or 2 just to get them going for the day, however during the winter I fill the shed with a deeper layer of soil and they burrow down and hibernate, I don't add any heat. I also have 2 marginated tortoises which do the same! Hope this helps.

Mine are out all year! They hibernate in their shed/house from October to late February.

They have heating in their hut but over the winter all heat is off and they hibernate themselves!

Not many birds that would be able to take a tortoise over here in the UK, if you was worried you could net over it!
