Arisen is the main character that you will control and the story revolves around it.
Pawns are your side kicks that you will get to choose. Class, weapons, armor, etc. These will side by side with you.

You can create both simultaneously.
The game asks you to create Arisen or Pawn when you start it.
Have you not played the Character Creator of Dragon's Dogma 2 yet?
