I had my interview last week and I was stressing about it so much but it was just a simple conversation the only questions I actually needed to prepare for was “tell me about yourself” and “what do you know about Publix”

I was so prepared for this and he only asked me ONE question 😂😂he then switched over to talking about all the benefits and how its employee owned with stocks😂..

You're lucky. Your hiring manager sounds like a nice person who gives everyone a fair chance instead of some jerk who is setting you up for failure. I hope to find one just like that myself. 🙏
My interview is gonna be in a few hours and I’m excited I’m dressed nicely and I just wanna go in with a good attitude especially because it is my first interview ever!!

I have a Publix interview for the Bakery department tomorrow! Although I am unsure what position they intent to consider me for (Baker Trainee or Cake Decorator Apprentice), I'm really excited and hope this helps give me an edge over other applicants. I applied yesterday and they called me several hours later, meaning they must really need the help. Although I input my desired 3 stores to work at, a store 30-40 minutes away called me for an interview. I was confused at first, but I drove over there today and the drive was rather pleasant and I think it is better to not shop at the Publix I work for personally. Anyways, I have printed out my cover letter, resume, and ServSafe certificate and put it in a file folder for them... I really hope I get the opportunity to work for such a great company!

I aced it and got called to come in tomorrow to give my SS card and Driver’s License information!
I wasn’t asked any of these questions, though.. My interview lasted about 10 minutes.
I applied for any bakery position and I received a call the same day I applied. Got the interview 2 days out. Interviewed with the store manager as well as the bakery manager. Super nice people, really loved the vibe.
They asked:
1) How did you hear about us?
2) Tell me about your experience at [specific past job].
3) Do you have experience with ovens? (Specifically industrial ones)
4) Do you have experience decorating cakes?
5) How do you work under stress?
What is your availability like? Can you work weekends and holidays?
6) About how far away do you live from this location? (The store manager helped me find a faster route to the store!)
The SM let me know they were interviewing other applicants and would contact me within the week. I left and went to the McDonald’s in the same plaza and not 10 minutes later the SM called and asked for me to come back in tomorrow to provide my info!
Super excited! Although they didn’t ask any of the questions I prepared for, it still helped me remain calm and made me learn a lot more about Publix as a whole!

I got interviewed at Publix in December but it was for the Deli which was weird because I put “bagger” or “Front Service Clerk” in my application. Anyway I told them I had no experience in a Deli so that was obvious. Now, I’ve been working at Publix for almost 2 months as a bagger or Front Service Clerk and honestly it’s not that bad. I guess it depends how you handle your job though positive mind the more you’ll enjoy it. Negative attitude you’ll hate it. December 16, 2023 was my hired date.

Applied too Publix 1 week ago and got no response so I decided to go in and out a face too the name so I spoke too the customer service manger she took my name and number and said she’d reach out to me in a week. No response within that week so I went back and spoke too the assistant customer service manger. She took me to the office room they have in store and set me up with an interview right then and there.
I have my interview tomorrow I’m 16 and hoping too ace the interview too score me my first job.
One tip I can give you is to go in and speak too about 2 mangers. Not every manger is gonna be having a good day and it wants too give you and job but it’s a possibility that another one will be willing too give you the job.

I have an interview in like 20 minutes!!! So nervous but feeling confident!
IT WAS SO FAST! It’s very simple, my manager asked questions such as myself, my availability, why i want to work at publix, college etc (just make something up or say you’re still deciding)
One of my tips is be kind and respectful! Dress nicely as well and be sure to get to the interview like 10 minutes early. The manager informed me he’ll make a decision by the 20th. I’ll inform if I get the job or not!

If you have lots of experience they will pass you up on promotions etc I have a family of 3 living 2k above poverty line 26 years experience if been passed over for promotion and closer transfer for younger less experienced people that are political correct

Oh wow didn’t even realize I had replies but it went really well I managed to get the job as a cashier and so far it’s going really good I love the environment and the employees are really cool people. A few tips I would give when getting interviewed is to always introduce yourself, give a firm handshake, speak with confidence and always maintain eye contact.
