THIS made me feel a 1000% better about my existencial crisis that i have at least once a year. Thank you so much for this sentence! Its so true! I sometimes feel like im the only one thats conscious about my feelings and it makes me feel like im crazy.

My therapist says it's important to feel. To your body there are no "right/good" emotions or "wrong/bad" emotions. They are all emotions and physiologically there is a reason they exist. You need every single emotion to survive. So to think that crying or being angry is wrong to feel is the same as saying you shouldn't also feel happy or excited. Your body doesn't have a filter to say "feel these and don't feel these" you either feel all or none. This has helped me realize that you need to be able to experience them all and they are all valid. Another biological fact: you cry because the hormones in your body are so high that you cannot process all of it, so your body purges these extra hormones via tears. This goes for all emotions: happy = happy tears, sad = sad tears, and angry = angry tears. So to hold in tears just makes your emotions last longer and it isn't healthy for your body.

Something about Ashley’s personality really makes her feel.. real and not artificial. She talks about actual problems,her life,the way she feels about herself and the world around her. I love it. I’m so glad I found her CZcams channel back in 2018. The way she presents herself is honestly refreshing. With Other CZcamsrs everything feels so fake, but with Ashley I feel like she’s my friend or my big sister. I learn so much from her and she makes me laugh a lot. Thank you so much Ashley !!💛

This hit home. Through most of my mid 20's I had been seasonally laid off, gained weight, and just became drowned in self pity. I made an effort after hitting 300 lbs, got down to 230 and got back into fashion (albeit mens). I have always had my best friend (who is female) which can complicate shit lol. But there was a time where she was the only person in my life (15 months or so.)
The last 18 months I reached a pretty safe spot in my union job and gained confidence finding my true style (I'm a late bloomer at 29). I've made new friends and reconnected with a few old ones. Yet I still isolate at times because that lack of self confidence returns. I think this is something most of us feel as we are all watching life pass through our own window and there are times when we feel we are just here to watch other peoples lives happen in front of us while we feel totally alien.
Before I go I want to say that while I've heard Ashley state that her channel is 98% female, which makes sense. As a straight male I want to encourage her to branch out. The vlog style content and just genuinely telling people how you feel can absolutely reach all audiences. Sometimes we just want to feel human and Genuine feelings get us there.
Her tendency to self isolate is sure comin in handy now huh

Crying is such a coping mechanism of mine for so many things weather it's stress, anxiety, anger, frustration, happiness, excitment, even if I had a long day, and it's actually something I love and feel proud of. I highly believe people should find what helps them vent better and such, thank you for that

Imagine how annoying it is to other people who try and surprise me... my boyfriend understands and he knows I’m excited/happy I just can not seem to express that feeling. It’s so weird.

I actually do that too, cry to cleanse out a build-up of sadness. So I don't think it's crazy at all. It's certainly more healthy than just repressing it all the time. Also, that sleep-anxiety-happiness meter was such a good idea! Thank you for the tip!
