These contestants are far better than many professionals in the industry imho. I have like 7 favorites and I wouldn't want to rank them based on their performance here, because they all take the #1 spot.

I love watching American Idol. However, there is a dark side to American Idol that should be disclosed that the winner of the show gets a really bad singing contract that really doesn't benefit the winner of American Idol. That is the dark-side to American Idol if anyone ever wondered about what happens to most of the past winners on American Idol that you do not hear much about after each season has ended. The judges and Ryan Seacrest receive millions of dollars for being on the show. But the winner of America Idol gets a bad contract.
So true! I believe they r tired in a contract for min a year, or more. Carrie Underwood apparently broke her contract, best thing she did. But she still thanks idiol.
Since Simon left Idiol judge chair, contract have gotten worse. So sad. You're correct, judges & Ryan make multi millions of dollars. These young artists are doing the heavy lifting.

The contract that the winner gets sucked into is a 1 year contract and the show basically has them do appearances at places that the show picks
They need to sing loud enough to be heard ! Or turn the mik up loud enough to hear when they are singing at a whisper!
I admire jelly roll , I am surprised about what is written about the winners of American Idol, just a contract and the judges and others paid millions. I would like to hear a follow up.

Why is Tori Kelly on the judges panel? she was turned down on amrican idol never made it to hollywood. She made it on her own but i guess that shows the ones who don't win that they can still make it. however i find it a bit silly of them to invite her now! lol

Loved the first one - but not the second at all, the third was ok but a bit flat, the fourth - good voice and performance - (but confusing song), the fifth, (Beautiful things) - loved the voice, liked the 6th, "Why Ticki" - wonderful, (7th), Jack, 8th, mmmm, Confident by Demi, 9th, good, Halfway to Hell, Jelly Roll, (Obviously not a contestant), mind you in relation to the song, the only way we get to heaven is through Jesus, nothing we can do about it, but to trust in Him, that He has made the way. "Bruises" - Lewis Capaldi, 10th, really like the voice! and the 11th singing "Titanium", excellent, then the 12th, Julia, "Rumour Has It", beautiful, fantastic voice, KB, number 13, singing "Heaven", yes, good, number 14 - playing the keyboard, really enjoyed the voice and the song and the performance, number 15 - a Kate Perry song, Harley's in Hawaii, fun, number 16 singing "Fancy", strong loud country! Number 17 - McKenzie, a good falsetto finish, Number 18, McKenna, "The Story", playing guitar, interesting voice! Number 19 singing "Daddy's Hands", Mia, beautiful song sung beautifully, Number 20, singing "The Best", OK, strong performance, Number 21, Some liked it, very energetic, Number 22, Something In The Water, Oh yes, liked it. Trusting in Someone Bigger than ME! Number 23, "How Sweet it is (To be loved by you)", very interesting rendition. (extremely energetic!), "High Water", sung by Tori Kelly, beautiful song, lovely performance. Number 24, singing "God's Country" (Blake Shelton), ok. Number 25, love the gravelly voice.

Oh my God. Almost everyone has the same voice. What damage they are doing to young talents. Singing schools are making singers not expose their own timbre. What a pity. Very soon it will be better to release a new voice with AI. This doesn't look good.
I heard some of these great young artists auditions before they got to Hawaii ... The faces change on stage male and female but the same boring style has come out of their mouths ... Like Barbie " N " Ken dolls with just a wardrobe change ... So sad ... Didn't see anything fresh ... 🙏 That they all get new producers

I'm not young, am very well versed in ALL styles of music, I don't think these kids are great but they are on a competition show and are adhering to a formula that's being shoved down their throats. Given a little artistic freedom who knows! But I have no interest in debating anything with someone who thinks they get to drop their two cents and jet. If you don't like responses then don't make comments, if you have no desire to have a conversation then you should get off the internet. Good day sir!

Worst season yet. None of these singers grab me at all. Completely boring blasé.
Are we watching the same video because the one I'm watching is top notch with one or two exceptions that need some coaching.
Kayko is the only one left that I like. I can’t believe they didn’t even show CJ Rislove’s Hollywood week performance!
