In summer of 2017, I sent this to my boyfriend, Mark. We both agreed that this would be our wedding song when we got married one day. We were 18.
4 months later, he passed away.
The lyrics "And I wish I knew how long we'll have, it's like you blink and so much time has passed. At the end when my heart beats its last, I will still want you." Still hits my heart just as hard as it did in October of 2017.

Everyone is talking about how this song reminds them of romance but listening to it, all I can think about is my best friend and how I’m so afraid to get to close or show her to much because of everyone else who has left me. And knowing that it’s not fair that she has shared so much with me but I still remain guarded and That I will fiercely protect her but won’t allow her to do the same. I fear of being left all over again and this song really reminds me of that
Sparklingjm1 Yeah that happens sometimes. With me I always care too much about my friends and everyone so then when they hurt me it’s so much worse. I’ve sorta become afraid of trusting people after that but I think I always have to hope that I’ll heal and have friends and people I care about. Sometimes I’m scared that my best friend will hurt me too because I care so much about her I don’t know what I would do if she left. But I think that you should always hope that they won’t hurt you and if you let them in they can help you overcome your past.

This has to be one of my favourite songs in the world! This really fits with how much I am feeling towards the man that I love. A fairy tale of a love that won't hold
This song hurts my heart a lot, I used to be a caregiver at an assisted living facility. I could only manage the job a year before the deaths of those people is grown to love became too much to bear. In the end I was terrified to walk through those doors, not because I didn't care but because I couldn't stop caring and I knew that reading those updates of resident status that each day there may be a little note. ### had passed away. It happened more times than I care to count. And I'd just shovel it into some dark corner of my mind until I clocked off and was finally allowed to cry. I know this is a happier love song so sorry to bring my pain.
