I just love the multiple finishers that actually finish matches. It gives matches the legit contest vibe.
Yep plus it keeps us on edge. We never know when a match could end since they dont use their finishers all the time.
Yeah im glas we dont see suprise roll up wins in AEW as much as the OTHER brand.
@Heenan Harley you are saying submission wrestling is shit? Submission finishers are the evolution of grappling, which were mostly used in old school. Today's crowd enjoys more fast paced wrestling so they have to do it this way. Finisher should finish u? Finisher should finish the match. That's all that counts in wrestling entertainment.

I don't think anyone would say he can't after his NJPW and G1 run.
This showed exactly the opposite, everything is labored and far from natural/smooth. This match exposes him for having neglected his chain-wrestling skills all these years for the video game like matches.
Heenan Harley how does it make him look like a paper champ by not facing the number one contender? Are champions not allowed to have other matches?
Heenan Harley he’s scheduled to face Cage at Fyter Fest. Plus this AEW Dark match wasn’t even for the title. So I disagree. Saying he’s only allowed to face the number 1 contender means he should not wrestle period and sit on his couch until Fyter Fest.
Fun fact: Robert Anthony once beat Moxley to win the CZW World Heavyweight Championship...
THAT explains why he put on such a showing against Moxley, they must have good chemistry. If Robert Anthony grows more, I'm actually excited to see him wrestle, he was like a wild card wrestler and it was entertaining seeing someone like that do what he was doing.
Rock N' Roll yup the fact that they made Anthony looked like a jobber and competing in this dark match is so weird tho, i mean that dark match guy once beat your current aew world champion for another title in the past...
I'm all for seeing how Anthony grows, I hope he gets more attention if he has the proper training and keeps improving
He is treated as a jobber because he is a jobber in AEW. He is not yet signed to AEW. Why should AEW give a guy a chance make their champ look less?
He is a fair wrestler. He needs to change his gimmick though. He doesn't look like having any 'ego'.
@@ythacks1 I didn't know he wasn't signed yet, and I agree with his character needing an improvement, but he had flashes where he didn't need to look good but did, and since it was against Moxley, that does look good for him.
Robert Anthony NEEDS a push, he is F-ing AWSOME! He has payed his dues and earned it. He has always been exceptionally entertaining and fun to watch. Make him the star he is and the star his ego KNOWS he is.

I saw Dr. Britt Baker's assistant Reba's interview on RybackTV yesterday. Ryback wa ssaying it's a good move on AEW's part by bringing Mox on AEW Dark and raising it's value. Showcasing that the show isn't irrelevant

I’m going to go on record that if the do sign Robert Anthony to a legit contract, I fully expect to see the return of Puppet Ego. Also these 2 go back years and I remember seeing them wrestling and teaming in CZW almost 10 years ago. It’s funny how things tend to come full circle.

I enjoyed this match so damn much. I was expecting a lame squash match. Instead I got a fierce match... Tazz on his A game...Cage in the background studying as if it was real. Very good show 👍👌.

People should watch early Moxley matches. Before he went to CZW. He didn't incorporate any of that trash match stuff until he got there. You can find a young Moxley in traditional wrestling trunks , and being a totally classically trained grappler in HWA.

One of my fav dark matches. Yes of course because of Mox... but there are a lot of comments asking why is it taking him so long to beat this jobber? Well Anthony is a good wrestler and they are friends. Mox is giving him a shot to shine and hopefully Anthony will be signed to AEW. 🙂

Jon Moxley is one of my favorites on AEW, aside from Christian Cage, Sting, Chris Jericho and up and comers such as Anna Jay and Julia Hart. AEW knows how to build on the future while bringing in veteran talent to showcase five star matches
