Great finds I love my Peru and say "yes" to African violets too! I'm on the lookout for a Brandi. Recently, I found a Chameleon ZZ at my grocery store marked down to $5.38 and it's doing so well.

For the calathea orbifolia, I have one and do nothing special for it at all and it's wonderful. No crispy edges either. I water it a bit more than my other plants so the soil stays damp but not soaking and I have it in a north facing window.

Crocodile ferns are easy to grow. I hoping the big box stores will get a monstera Albo or Thai constellation and price it at 20 dollars or so not knowing what they are 👍

Hi Ashley nice shopping and keeping it tight coming in under budget. The little plant with its fuzzy leaves is a kalanchoe but commonly called a panda plant.the little guy with the glasses was really cute 😍

they pulled tradescantia nanouk from their trending tropicals line so that’s why you may not see them around anymore. it’s a shame tho bc they’re so beautiful😔 but a while ago i was lucky enough to find some in a 3 inch pot from the exotic angels line. haven’t seen one since

I love the proven winners brand! I just got today an Imprial Gold Philo new hybrid! They also had huge tiger tooth philos in the bigger woven baskets for $30 and more dragon scale for $20 too! Yes my new favorite brand is the proven winners :) I have not seen the new zz chamelion yet! I will get if I find one...so excited to find one! My xanthasoma is still flawless and easy care so happy I bought that one...I was scared it was going to be a flop! Still need a confettii!

How often do you find pests on your big box store plants? Every time I go I see at least one with webbing, but last time I went, a whole section was infested! If you haven’t made one yet, a video on what you do with a new plant or how you treat it when you bring it home would be awesome. 😊

My local Lowes had a 6” hanging pot of the variegated Hoya Hindu rope. I left it for someone else since it’s not a Hoya I want.

Same here! I’ve only found one Baltic blue pothos and I had to bring the poor thing back from the brink of death from underwatering at Walmart 😭 thankfully it made it! I had to go to a specialty plant store just to find a nice marble queen pothos. 😅
I just discovered the Ace in my small town now has a giant indoor plant section though and I bought a beautiful milk confetti syngonium!! She was kinda expensive but I’m in love with her!

@@catherinekasiewicz8683 dang :( Mine only seem to have leggy pothos, monstera deliciousa, orchids, a few rex begonias, random succulents, and some diffenbachia. Plus random ferns and other common plants.
Oh my goodness, I would have had a field day shopping there. I love the small starter plants. Glad you found a Peru, I was amazed when my local nursery had them about a year ago because I live in a small city in Canada on the east coast and it usually takes a while for treading plants to get here. I love that Panda plant (kalanchoe tomentosa), I just found a nice one on clearance. My best find this week was a Black velvet alocasia for $7.99 in a four inch pot. 3 nice big leaves and one opening! Eek!

I found a Peru here in CT during the summer. Our local Costco had variegated ZZ plants but they were in horrible condition so I left the store without buying one. I’m hoping to find healthy ones somewhere soon. Thanks for sharing your journey!!

It's a Bear Paw, I have a variegated one, so adorable and the pot is too cute.
Hello, not a Bear Paw, but a Kalanchoe Tomentose. The Bear Paw stems look like a paw, very similar looking, same family. There is a chocolate soldier one with very dark stems all over.

How are you able to find M. Peru that is so lush and full in the box store? The ones that I've seen at my box stores have only 2-3 stems per pot. I've seen the grey silver dragon scale alocasia and also today, the darker green dragon scale at my HD, but the plants were all so thirsty :(. I actually felt bad that I didn't have any water to give them.
The little man with glasses pot is very cute; I would put an air plant for the top of his head.

I’m in Northern California and the box stores around me are still very disappointing so I wonder if I will ever find a Peru for such a good deal. I was at my local plant shop and one vine in a 4in with about 5 leaves trailing down was $30
