This one was really good. I listened while driving to work at 1am and i had to glance behind me to check behind the seats to make sure nothing was there. Lol😅 Very few of these stories creep me out like that these days. Bravo!

I first heard this radio drama 12-13 years ago while vacationing in the north woods of Wisconsin (Spooner) visiting my in-laws. And yes, we had been ice fishing earlier that day 😮 Great story!

🤔 The cat was the Ranger who knew what was was coming so he stuck around just in his cat form to keep him safe from the thing.

Really enjoyed the story . but you need to do something about the sound had to turn the bass off to understand what you were saying. and the sound effects drowned out your voice also ,

Why didn't he keep the cat,?
Great story, fine production. Guess I don't get the ending? Was the cat some part of the monster? Why'd he set the cat on the monster?
The ending can be interpreted in many ways. But think about the cat being the defender vs the monster. The cat knew the monster was there so it helped defend the person. The Cat could be a monster too but a good one.
If you're going to tell a story in a whisper the whole time at least turn down the ambient sound so we can hear you.

Great story, sound effects drown out the audio some. My hearing isn't that good to begin with.
