I found your channel a year or so ago and it has quickly become one of my top “go to” channels for gear review. I appreciate the honesty and transparency
Approx Backface allowed in the clay from any NIJ plate soft or rigid is 44mm or 1.732” :)
Thanks for these videos. Helps just show what we can expect from this armor. Helps me with selecting products for my customers.
16:11 Oh my! This is why I love steel 3 plus. These P3 ones remind me of lightweight ar500 Heritage plates lol.
I don't understand what you mean. The Heritage plates are steel and far far heavier. Nothing bad happened at the time stamp you provided. I'm not saying AR500's 3+ plates are bad. But could you explain what was wrong at the time stamp?
@RTTGunsGear the time stamp was just showing the armor and a realization about the weight verse the steel. I thought they were kind of light weight version of the heritage plates as far as what they would stop. 🤔 I like steel best obviously but have been looking at the c3 also.
@chaksheba Ah..okay. I suppose yes, They're just a lightweight version of the heritage. With a number of other things going for them as well. But yea, can not go wrong with the C3..phenomenal armor.
Great review Matt i always enjoy the body armor tests. One of these days I am going to have to take one of these companies up on the offer to test some on my channel it looks like way to much fun.
Thanks for the info! I’ve always heard great things about AR and it looks like they have the product to back it up. Pretty awesome opportunity to see them put to the test
I appreciate you watching bro!
I'm a very happy owner of AR500 Armor's products. I can't say enough good things about their stuff! I went ape over their Multicam Alpine Testudo when that limited edition came out, and my latest purchase was a full Freeman bundle for when I'm chillin at home.
I have these p3 plates. Light and awesome!!
Love the testing. Poor Primo didn't stand a chance when you double tapped it lol
Yea..the Primo definitely didn't stand a chance..lol. Thanks for watching.
Thank You Sir, for sure its better to have one then not to have one. I will look into score me some plates.😊
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Body armor hellyeah!😊
So much fun testing this stuff!
Algorithm donation 🏴☠️🤘🏻
It all helps! Thanks!
It did what it was supposed to do, but I question whether Level III is really a viable option as rifle protection goes. 5.56 is, if not the far and away go-to caliber in this country, very close. With that being the case, you're sort of left with hoping that whoever is attacking you has the courtesy to not use green tip or any other load that the armor doesn't agree with.
If you can live with that awkward asterisk around 5.56, you can't beat the weight. The armor that you will actually wear is better than the armor that will stop everything but which sits out of reach at home or in the trunk because it's miserably heavy.
Admittedly, this is a low rating for the options that we have out there today. I think there is certainly a market for these. After all, AR500 isn't the first company to make ultra-light armor like this. I think these fall into the category of "I have armor (just in case) but my priority is to be fast and light." Where as something like their C3 plate (level IV ceramic) is "I have armor because I 100% need it for this mission." Speed and weight being secondary considerations.
your rumble link is broken in description .............. rumble.com/user/RTTGunsGear
I've actually been meaning to take that link out. Rumble is a garbage platform and a shit service that barely works. Thanks for reminding be bro.
