- I had to replace the rear taillight on a 2014 E350. This is a perfect DIY project for someone that wants to save money. A replacement like this should take you roughly 15-20 mins with simple tools around the house and all the plugs are plug and play.

Dear Boss Adam Garage,
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your fantastic video on replacing the driver taillight for my E-350. Your clear and detailed explanation made the procedure straightforward and manageable. Thanks to your guidance, I am able to complete the task with confidence. I appreciate the time and effort you put into creating such helpful content. I ordered the part, waiting for delivery soon. I must say, I have to watch the video a few times to make sure I do know what I am doing!😀😀😀😀😀Thank you once again!
No problem. Glad I could help!
@@bossadamsgarageI need to replace the rubber that hold the center caps, when taking the caps off the rubber was so worn. The caps are in but I still need those rubber pieces. What is the name of those rubber pieces? I ordered the light from the store you posted in the description and it came today! My neighbor help me installed the part. You rock sir!
Newly widowed here and having the half the LED's go out on the left side taillight of my 2014 E350 was one more stress I didn't need. I ordered a new assembly and after watching your video, I decided this was something I could do myself. And I did! New light fits perfectly and works just like it should. The part alone was $300 but I wanted original Mercedes product. If I'd taken it to my auto mechanic or, god forbid, to the Mercedes dealer, my guess is that the cost would have been 3-4 times that amount. Thank you, Boss Adams Garage!
Glad I could help!!
Thanks for the video it helped me a lot. You don’t have to remove the felt piece at @3:14 at all. It is super easy to change the lights without removing that. The three 8mm bolts are super easy to access through the access panel that they give you. I used a screw driver attachment instead of a socket wrench.
I followed your instructions and 15 minutes later I had a new operational tail light!
Thank you!!
Glad I could help!
Thank you for your slow methodical approach in changing the light.
No problem! Glad I could help!
Going to tackle this same project myself later this week when replacement part arrives for my wife's 2014 E350. Video was very helpful. Thank you for creating and posting it!
No problem! Glad I could help and thanks for checking it out!
Do you mind sharing where you purchased your replacement part? Bought one via Amazon and installed it today but brake lights did not work on the assembly and fit was not as good as OEM, so in need of another part that fits and works. Thank you.

Thank you!
I agree video is Betty helpful
Just a quick note: I didn't undo the trim and the light popped right out. No need to peel back inside lining of the well as they were very visible. Thanks for the video!
Great note! Glad I could help!
Used your instructions. Worked perfectly! Thank you.
Glad I could help!
Thanks to your educational video I swapped my taillight effortlessly!
Glad I could help!
Do you have to swipe the whole rear light unit ? It doesn’t just have changeable bulbs ?
Your instructions were very good and they were very complete; however if you have two people doing the job one person can easily hold up part of the molding with their fingernails and nothing has to be removed. We did complete the job in 15 minutes as you suggest; I would also add that since the wire connector is much more easily disconnected with the lamp outside of the fender; it also makes it easier to connect it before reinstalling the lamp inside so that you can ensure that the lamp is operating properly prior to fastening the lamp with the 3 nuts..
Glad I could help!
God bless you man saved my butt 300 dollars I ain’t got
Glad I could help!

I have this to do on mine 2013 Model, I had Mercedes do it last time cost over £300… I will tackle this myself, thank you for your excellent video 😊
I appreciate it! Glad I could help!
Great detailed instructions. Much appreciated!
Glad I could help!
I hear ya about those 8-10mm nuts dropping down into the abyss. I've learned (sometimes) to just go slow and have a magnetic dish/tray nearby to toss them in once they're removed. Nice work!
I appreciate it! Thanks for checking out the video!
Thanks!
Very useful, thank you
Glad I could help!
Nice!!!
Thank You! Although I am sure I would have figured it out this was helpful. My son brought our 2015 home after Date Night and the LED's have dropped out on one side. New Part in hand, waiting for it warm up a tic and I will go swap er' out.
I believe its a common faulty part on this year model mercedes. Definitely worth fixing yourself though!
Thanks a lot!..
Glad I could help!
why did you change?
Is it the same on the right side
Exactly the same set up on the right side. Definitely worth the time to do the project yourself.
Can you send a link where you bought it please?

Where did you get the light from?
The links to eveything used in the video are in the description.
I have new taillights but my it still flashes quickly on the dashboard but not on the tailigjt idk why
I'm not sure about that. The only thing I could think of is the bulbs you're running up in your front blinkers are not working with the electrical system. Could be and LED issue or the need for a resistor.
@@bossadamsgarage the headlights are working fine but I put my new left tailigjt in and it flashed normal but I’m the dash it’s flashes quickly and shoes me a message in the dash *check rear right turn signal * it’s rlly bothering me lol
Where did you purchase the light? The dealership told me $1350!!!
That's exactly why I did it my self. I got the part from 1AAuto www.1aauto.com/2014-mercedes-benz-driver-side-outer-tail-light-diy-solutions-lht09525/i/1altl03436/1521675/2014. Their parts have treated me well in the past.
Hows the quality/fitment versus the original
U can easily fix it
aftermarkt or originale
It's an OEM replacement.
