I am from Kolkata. I have heard all ships for FIJI, Mauritus, Trinidad and Gyana used to sail from Kolkata which was then the capital of british raj .
Our forefathers came from Utar Pradesh and Bihar
@@ITSOURLIFEARD Thats normal. Even today about 30% of Kolkata population is from Bihar and UP east. Maithili,Magadhi, Bhojpuri belt. Now adays Kolkata is not that developed and we all migrate to Delhi ,Mumbai and Bengaluru.
There were also a lot of indians who came from Kolkata as well .In Trinidad 🇹🇹 their is a place named Kolkata for the indians who came there.
hi new born baby welcom, love from india (bihar)
I have no clue what is a hallwah but it looks good uncle danny 😀😀❤ sir ally my former teacher from apex education ❤😀
For us Indians in South Africa the 9 day is known as "Chati"........Excellent videos Bro.....keep up the good work......👌
Same for us Indians in Fiji
Beautiful tradition
Thank you I really enjoyed that video.
Denny when I come GT I will contact you we have to "knock a ting"
big up yourself bro keep king the good work
Danny you always teasing with all them delicious 🤤 food..🥰🥰
seetaram. nice moments. wonderful celebrations, very traditional. tek alyu time buddy eating. lol.
I'am from Suriname ,and this tradition looks so stranged to me. In Suriname when a child is born we celibrate the 6th day and call it " Chatti" And we never eat meat during any hindu ritual allways vegetarian. Anyhow blessings to the newborn.
I’m not sure if the did any prayer on the 6 day. I’ll have to find out. Maybe the prayer are done on day six and the celebration on day 9.
@@ITSOURLIFEARD that's possible maybe. ....Keep up the good work.
The most odd ritual I find is kicking the Diya ,or the oil lamp
Hindus never do that for sure
In Trinidad we do 6 days which is chatti and 12 days which is the barahee
Very nice
This reminded me of this ritual taking place in Mauritius when I was a child. Sadly it has faded, but the halva and kasaar is still prevalent.
Kasaar yummy trop top bien longtemps pas fine mange sa
150 or 200 years ago go Guyana Suriname and remember your culture very good
We forgot our culture but Guyana Hindu remember and follow Hindu. Culture
Yes we are still up keeping our Indian culture
DANNY U AND ALL THEM PEOPLE HAVE TO GIVE THE BABY GIFTS
