i dont think melissa ever allowed it. she tried her best to stop abby from making them compete and melissa wanted them to only perform the duet without getting judged. melissa knew that paige and chloes duet would win she even said it when abby said “i want a winning duet” melissa replied with “paige and chloes duet is going to win!”

i am praying everyday for kelly and have her family in my thoughts. last year i had a silent miscarriage and then a very high risk twin pregnancy. i started listening to her podcast with christy to force myself out of bed and then to because mom said so/ dear dance mom. now after birth and dealing with postpartum depression i look forward to every week listening to both podcasts and laughing… i was such a fan of all the girls in the show with some of my dance friends when we were kids. we even dressed up like maddie in the chandelier video for a performance. and now as a mom i get to relate in other aspects and do my best while also having some time for myself listening to the podcasts kelly is at each week. i really do hope her treatment is beneficial and for her to be really healthy and strong for brooke’s wedding. if you by any chance see this please tell her that we (my husband and i) are praying for her and that she’s definitely made me laugh throughout difficulties that i’ve had in the process of becoming a mom.

Hi Melissa, I hope you are enjoying your day ! I'm a competitive dancer too but I am french, and in France solos are generally imposed choreographies before the age of 14-15. We receive a video of the dance in September, and then there is generally regionals in February and nationals in May. So, my question is : have Maddie and Mackenzie ever do competitions with an imposed choreography ?
It is very boring to watch for the parents because they just see kids doing the same choreography 40 times...
I really love your videos ! Maddie and Mackenzie's old dances inspire me every day and I love what they are doing now !

Hi Melissa! I’m so glad that you and the other moms and girls are still so close!! All the girls have grown up to be so beautiful and kind. My question is do you regret your relationship with Abby and how she treated your daughters? There were many times on the show when Abby told Maddie that her friends were never happy for her and put an enormous amount of pressure on her. If you could go back, would you try to be as close with her as you were, or would you keep your distance?

Hello, Melissa! Thank you for doing these Q&As, it's very insightful to the show. My question is: if the disputes during the Chloe/Maddie rivalry were all set up by production and everyone knew they were being set up for drama, how come Christi was still hostile about Chloe being friends with Maddie after they both left the show? Why didn't Christi forgive you because Chloe and Maddie suffered the same experience on reality TV? Was it fake for continuity reasons to make the show look believable, or did something happen off the show that harmed their friendship?

Hi Melissa. I very much enjoy these videos! I have a couple questions. Maddie was so lovely to watch tap, does she still tap ever? Also, I know Kenzie is killing it with her music, but when she guest starred on a couple shows when she was a kid she was such a natural actor. Does she have any interest in acting? BTW Maddie has improved so much over the years with acting so proud of her! Hope you are doing well!

My question is do you think that Maddie and Mackenzie would have continued dancing at the Abby Lee Dance Company until they were seniors if Abby and the girls weren't on Dance Moms? Also do you think that Abby would have been nicer with her teaching methods had it not been for the show?
