This was a video request from a friend of mine wanting a closer look at what I call the "Movie Figure Timeline" showcasing some of my favorite films from each year starting with my birth year of 1981. Totally awesome collection man. Me too...1981 birth year here. As a 80s kid we had a lot of variety in cinema. 😄
Some suggestions:
2004 - deserves Ron's HellBoy.
2013 - could be Henry's Man of Steel.

Great timeline display! I was born in 1978. My favorite figures are from 80's and 90's movies. I also have 1/6 figures from that era.

Absolutely awesome dude! I watch your uploads often. Though I was collecting before I discovered your page I have to admit being greatly influenced by your setup and figure selection.
I bought figures after seeing them on your shelf. A lot of my stuff is junk, redmans, kitbashes and customs but the presentation of the display is what does it for me. I’d say you have maximized the detolf to it’s furthest extent. Do us all a favor and post a little more often😄

If I had the space I would do something like this for sure! I’ve been trying to limit myself to 5 detolfs 😂 we will see how long it will work.

Yeah I hear ya 😆 only negative to doing this set up for one figure per shelf it eats up the space super quick. Even with my space I'm hitting the point where I'm capped for anything further. So no matter who you are or how much space it becomes an issue at some point lol

This is great! Do these figures actually represent your favorite movie of each year? (I assume not, since I believe Green Book was your favorite of 2018)

Thanks man. It depends on a few factors. Some films like you mentioned Green Book for 2018. Don't have any figures from and I don't know if they would really be visually appealing in figure form. But something like Infinity War, still a film I enjoyed and also the largest film of 2018 got represented instead. Same with something like Avatar. I'm not a huge fan of the film, but I feel it should be represented for the achievements it did make in cinema. And some years like 81, 82, 84, 85, 87, 88, 89, 91, 93, 94 could be several different films that could fills these spots. But I have them represented in other sections of the collection. So I guess I could say that either A. It could be my favorite of the year. B. In my top 3 or 5 of that year but other films are in other sections. Like 1996 I'd say Scream is my favorite film of that year but it doesn't really fit being horror themed in the timeline so it's placed in the horror section. And finally C. It would need to be significant release in the industry as a whole to be added if I wasn't really that attached to it emotionally.
