I clicked so fast! Thank you for validating me. 😅 I gave it 4 stars too because I’m not a full-fledged romance girlie myself. I just started dipping my toes in the genre. But for what it is, definitely a 5-star! The Goodreads reviews are so unhinged, like people don’t know what/who they are picking up when they read it. 😂 But you expressed everything I was thinking and feeling.

THE ART WORK IS AMAZING.
The Simple Wild sparked so many “special interests” for me. Alaska: bucket list item is to visit there. Can’t stop reading and learning about Alaska lol. Flying planes: with how much knowledge and research that has been done because of this book, I could probably pass the test to get my license. The Iditarod: I know way too much about the sport and the athletes now for something I’ve never actually been able to watch. 😂 There are so many other great things about this series. The atmosphere, the community, ughhh just all of it! I wish I could live in these books.

Ok, I give you credit for the clairvoyant moment when opening the package. However, you're on a whole new level of magic if you can paint in a white shirt. If I even look at paint, it gets all over me. I got to wear the oldest clothes I own when I paint. Then cover myself in a trash bag and yet still end up with paint all over me.
I didn’t realize it until I was editing the footage and thought “wow, ballsy, Katie” haha

This was actually my first Ali hazelwood book and honestly her other romances don’t really entice me, not because I don’t read romance (I do quite a lot of it, at one point all I did was read romance) but her premises don’t entice me at all. Bride was just so fun and quick and I think she could thrive in this paranormal urban fantasy setting so well! I hope she continues doing books in this kind of setting!

I suspect having ADHD and I often need to go back in the book if I've missed anything. I can't just let it go and read further if I'm not sure about a certain words etc. 😅 Your reading part of the book and coming back to reread reminds me of that, though it might be something completely different. Maybe for me it's wanting a bit of perfection in the chaotic day to day life

Hi Katie! Since you're an audiobook connoisseur I really think youd love ' None of this is true ' by Lisa Jewel! The audibook is full cast & theyre british wooo! & it's abt a podcast & theres like eerie intro music whenever they are doing their "podcast" and it's just so immersive
It's like a psychological thriller vibes !!
The story will have u thinking one thing & then totally change your mind the next second! I binged it in one day! I think it would be a fun reading vlog option in the future!

I love my reading journal and life journal for my creative sanity, its such an amazing reset each weekend :) I got The Bodyguard from Book of the Month and really want to read it this summer!!! The height difference of the Bride characters is actually hilarious I love that lol. I love the vampire song playing in the background throughout!!! I LOVED Bride and this was my first Ali Hazelwood book, I have no regrets. Just one thing made me cringe and I couldn’t get passed that bit. If you have read it you will know lol 😂
