The sound of scissors cutting hair brings a chilling to my body. I love hearing Hair getting cut. "ASMR" Maybe you can ask someone to not talk and do ASMR video of you getting haircut. Would be cool. Haircut Harry does them too but he has travelled almost the world just to get haircuts in ASMR versions.

My son Ronnie went through the same. Living for years with Trey having a $$$$ wedding and honeymoon in Mexico. When Ronnie landed his dream job in Milwaukee and Trey finally joined him as soon as he could leave his job. They stayed together for a couple more years and Trey finally left and asked for a divorce. Hard times for awhile plus like you two sharing custody of the two Bostons, Biscuit and Gravy. I believe the haidresser was a woman and not a man. Anyway, I don't think a flat top would look all that great on Taylor. This hairstyle looks really great on him and grows back nicely as well.
The short clippered sides make you even more handsome. You should always wear your hair this way.
