    Useful. … I like it being a T2 diabetic using sliding scale, Humulin R . I always used 100 BG as a correction factor. But it all depends what ration am gonna used. At present my Correction ratio is : 1:20, while my Carbs ratio is 1:15 or sometimes 1:16 based on my experiment. Using this formula it’s quite good for me, but not perfect though, and I feel if I’m hypoglycemic.

    Sir, is the rapid acting insulin used in the insulin sliding scale IV or SQ or both methods are the same?

      Insulin sliding scales are SQ by default! We use IV insulin in specific cases such as insulin drip or for the treatment of Hyperkalemia.
