I Don’t Have A Problem With It Being Spanish Nor Am I Disgusted By It Being Spanish. I Have 2 Movies Up My Channel Thats Already Spanish Films. Dont Assume Or Think I Only Know American Films Just Because Im A African American Who To Yall May Not Have Broad Filming Experiences. i dont think anyone that make those coments thought about you as a "A African American Who To Yall May Not Have Broad Filming Experiences" (tho you deleted the coments so i cant know, if they say that then fuck them). instead they saw it as we are latin americans wo usually our storys dont get to the big screen. The most popular movie about the miracle of the andes is "alive" who is a movie so cleary American and they didnt pay attention to the culture, thats why we love that the director fight for the movie to be make with uruguayan or argentinian actors and in Spanish, cause the laguage had a cultura backround that for all of us make the movie perfect.
I explain this so you can understand that the coments come from the constant latin rage of being missrespected and belive me when i say every reactor that had seen it in dub has recive the same coments.
Anyways, this does no justified how they treated you, is your right to seen the movie with the laguage you want, the dub was make to be listen and it make me sad if this become a bad experience for you.
Good reaction girl, srry for the bad english and i hope you dont get more bad coments.

8 of the survivors had cameos in the movie. Coche is in the background at the bar. He died in 2023 but got to view the movie before he died. Nando is the guy who opens the door for his family, TinTin and Moncho are also at the airport. Roberto plays a doctor, Gustavo is the rugby coach, Carlitos plays his own father ie the man who reads out the list of survivors and Daniel plays the priest’s assistant. Javier died in 2015, the other 14 are still alive and all aged in their 70s.

I see the similarities with Lord of the Flies but at the same time, they’re different. The lord of the flies showed the kids turning against each other and letting go of their humanity while the people in society of the snow prioritized working together for their survival and holding on to their humanity despite the things that they had to do to survive.
Also, I would like to share with you some passages of the book where Gustavo Zerbino (survivor) narrates Arturo (the philosopher) and Numa’s death:
"ARTURO NOGUEIRA died in the arms of his best friend, Pedro Algorta, after I kept him alive manually for two hours. He was still up there in the hammock, where he had been since the crash, but I brought him down to the floor because he was too cold up there. I gave him artificial respiration for those two hours, pressing on his chest so he could breathe. But when I reduced the pressure he felt that he was going to die, that he was about to slip away, and he was scared. So I grabbed his hand and held it for a few seconds and then slowly let go of it, but when I loosened my grip he told me, ‘Please don’t leave me,’ with that same hand squeezing mine weakly. I said to him, ‘Easy, Arturo, easy,’ and I began stroking his hand again. When I started to let go of it very gently so that he could go in peace, he grabbed me again and begged me, ‘Don’t let go …’
This happened three, four, five times, and I told him: ‘Arturo, let yourself go in peace, I won’t leave your side. Pedro is here too, but you have to let go, it’s time to go.’ He kept breathing because I was compressing his diaphragm, giving him breath artificially with my hands. ‘Let go, Arturo,’ I begged him, ‘you’ll see that it’s better for you.’ That last time I whispered it right in his ear, and I finished by kissing him on the forehead, until finally he accepted it and he went. He went in peace because he had finally let go of his fear. For that reason he didn’t call out any more to me, and he held his hand out to touch me one last time and then let it rest on top of mine.”
    Gustavo about Numa:
"I always remember Numa up there, full of despair, when he told us that he would rather die watching the sky, walking, instead of ending life immobilised in a cave of broken metal. For that reason, after the avalanche, he kept digging and removing snow without rest until he burned himself out with exhaustion. He always thought that his time had come but he wanted to work until the final moment, doing whatever he could to help. I cared for him all those days; I saw how he was hurried to the brink of death, with no defences, getting one infection after another. I went up to him and first I gave him a kiss on the cheek to greet him and asked him how he was doing. He just stared at me with a kind of infinite peace. He never complained. But Numa was quickly deteriorating: from that physical strength and vigour he had had at the beginning, he finished as a skeletal dying boy. He held on to his characteristic qualities until the end though. He was that same stoic guy when he was strong and when he was wasting away. I have always felt that he gave his life to hasten the final expedition. He, who was so intelligent, realised that he would be the catalyst for them to leave on that walk. It was his way of fighting back against the tragedy we were living through: not meekly accepting what life gave him, but setting his own goals and fulfilling them, until his dying breath. When he died, they found a little piece of paper clutched in his fist, where he had written, ‘There is no greater love than giving your life for your friends.’”

The movie was made by Uruguayan and Argentinian actors, their accents is the same as the 45 passengers on that plane and they use the slangs of 1972. It doesn’t matter you don’t understand Spanish, you’ll hear their accent and their emotions. It hit different when you watch the movie in Spanish. I have been so inspired by this story I'm beside myself.😅 I bought the book from Audible and it's just as good as the movie. It's laid out a little differently, but the details are the same. The book is a different experience than the movie in that the movie shows us start to finish what happened for all of them whereas the book tells the story from sixteen different perspectives. I consider the book a companion piece to the movie.

It wasn’t a commercial plane, it was an air force plane. those planes couldn’t fly above the mountains. they decided to fly with an air force plane because it was cheaper for them, and they also invited friends and family and sold tickets to other people because they had to fill the plane. also remember this happened in the 70s! not the same technology.
the error here is that the pilots had to turn when they reach Curico (city in Chile) and for some reason (human mistake some say) they turned way before when they were still crossing the mountains. and the pilot, when he was about to die, tells them that they passed Curico (that’s why they turned) but he was wrong.
as a matter of a fact that were not even in Chile. they were still in the argentinian side of the mountain.
but they all thought they were in the chilean side because of what they pilot told them. that’s why they decided to walk to chile. it took them 10 days to get to chile, but if they had known they were still in argentina and if they had walked to the argentinian side they would’ve reached civilization faster, they were 14 kilometers away from a hotel in the argentinian side.
