Good Morning, wonderful Job Don and Mom ..My son Is 26 months..We're still waiting on his evaluation.. He's in speech therapy now .. My question is what I can do at home to help him with speech and language?
Hi Mom, Thanks for watching our channel. Donavan was 2 when he was diagnosed and was non-verbal. We do a lot of things to encourage speech at home but what I notice helps most is removing access to things he loves and wants and forcing him to come to you and need your help. When he was smaller he would pull me in the direction and put my hands on the things he wanted. I would then say "use your words"; and he would look at me for a split second and i would hurry and say (Oh, you want [juice]), and try encourage him to say it. Also we did picture book with all his favorite thing to help him request things.
We also use supplements to help clean his system out. The ones we have been using have been working well and mix with juices.

I hope this helps a little. Don't get discourages, and try to be as active as possible. You got this Momma!!!
