It would be foolish for our military to get complacent about our enemies. If we can do it , so can someone else. Maybe not as good, or as advanced but close enough to be a serious annoyance. Having said that, I have considerable faith in our R&D and the good sense of military's leadership.

It's not as easy as you're making it out to be. These ships aren't just sitting in one spot. The square miles that these missiles expands greatly per second they're in flight. It's akin of being able to detect a stealth plane but being able to get a weapons grade lock on it is a while other story.

Cruised close enough to fly a fallen shipmate to Diego Garcia for transfer stateside.
Average loss of life on carriers on six moth deployment was five souls. We lost seven souls 82.

Diesel subs are great in a confined area but in the open ocean they are speed limited and have no chance catching a nuclear powered carrier when it sprints to 35 knots to escape, reposition, then launch it’s aircraft.

Since Railgun projectiles travel much faster, are cheaper and don’t use explosives-and China is doing intensive research-it would be detrimental for the US to also research and develop. The more tools available the better!

Under estimating one’s adversary has defeated many militaries around the globe 🌍 throughout history ! Example, what happened to Israel on Oct 7 Th . Technology speaking there’s simply no way possible for the breach that happened along Israel’s Gaza border should’ve ever happened. Compliance and under estimating one’s enemies is the worst thing any technologically advanced nation can do.

Not so true. A sub recently did a mock attack on one of our aircraft carriers. It had a sterling engine and no moving parts almost.
It successfully sank the carrier.
Am I crazy? I hope not. My understanding of invisible meant not being able to see an object. Let’s drop invisible to a more descriptive wording such as partially invisible but not 100% invisible. Maybe Harry Potters cape could make them invisible.

No submarine is as silent as the new Swedish Gotland class. The US Navy did not hear it coming nor going. It sank the Navy's big aircraft carrier twice in exercises. So much for 13 billion dollars. LMAO.
That's the whole reason why exercises are done, to find their vulnerabilities and get it fixed.

Really? LMAO? What kind of pee brained reaction is that? I guess the seriousness of the inference is so overwhelming to some sensibilities, this kind of primal reaction is all which some can muster. Given through the capabilities of a carrier group and the instantaneous communication which would occur if there was a successful attack on this one part of Americas military capability, nevertheless what would remain of its ability to retaliate is enough perhaps to keep those capabilities which an emerging enemy might possess from ever being brought to bear. I am relieved to learn a Carrier Group has more detection and defensive abilities in the light of what the possibilities of enemy capabilities either real or imagined. A world wide stalemate is I suppose the ultimate goal. To do this requires strength and to do that requires risk and money. As for this type of informational offering to be seen as revealing American capabilities, I expect this to is part of the game. It's their move.

For every USS Ship Carrier has 1 or 2 submarines are provided additional protection for them.Besides Enemy Ships,submarines or aircraft will have a very hard time to find our Carrier just FYI. Or to mention there are additional protection from different ships and aircraft’s will also wade into the facts.If you somehow get through all these somehow,enemies still have to deal with Carriers defends systems.!!!! 👍🇺🇸🎖️🚀🛰️🛸
