    These guys did a great job. I've done it with only a Holmes 600 when that's all we had we later got a Holmes 750 and we did tractor trailers with those two trucks

    I like the way you guys get on scene--size it up and go to work--everybody does something-well trained crew. Instead of just standing around-like some video's--one is pulling the drive shaft-another is getting chains out--no wasted movements. Looks good to by staanders also.

    Up here in the North east we don't have enough time to stop and talk to anyone . We have so much Traffic volume were just not given that luxury to say Hey how you doing were just gonna take our NEW rotator and right your Garbage truck . The amount of time I see trucks just sitting doing nothing while people ramble around WE just don't have up here . All the State Trooper's wanna know . Is Do you have My Roadway open to traffic yet and if not WHY ???? How long and get on it !!! Period...Make sure it's cleaned up .. no broken car part's truck part's .. NO anti freeze No Oil ... ..and NO lit flare's ... You won't see class being held on how to right a heavy truck that's on it's side.. Because the ONLY thing the state want's to know is why is there Roadway closed .. and how long ? you can't tell em well gee were explaining everything to everyone and then holding committee on what we should do , that garbage would have been raked back into the truck while it was on it's side . I've personally seen what I thought was the worst job ever we had a propane tanker truck that slammed into the Overpass abutment {cement column} and exploded we found the trailer tandem's a 1/4 mile away and the rear section of the tank on someone's house burning , they shut the overpass down because it was burned so bad they closed it to traffic ..I've never seen a fire that hot .. They never completely found the driver the cement column took a direct impact from the cab and it was only a Day Cab ... the 50 ft Tanker was full of Propane as well ..Trucker's today do NOT get compensated for the job they are expected to perform .. Sorry but they don't...we lost another wrecker driver this year up here . He was from Mamaroneck NY he was killed on the Playland parkway extension of I-95 doing a DV loading a mini van and was struck & killed and left for dead the driver who hit him took off didn't stop didn't report it ..... Tow truck driver's get killed every year because of careless irresponsible driver's who are much to busy to bother ... You couldn't pay me enough to go back out there and do the on call thing again last time I said yea sure I didn't get out of the truck for 26 yrs ... Seriously .. So many more car's today so much more traffic and so many more non driver's driving car's and Big SUVs pretending to drive....

    We had a small local wrecker attempt to lift up a car that went down an embankment. He parked so the pull would be from his right side. No outriggers on the wrecker. About halfway up the embankment the wrecker roller over, joining the car at the bottom of the hill.

    I drive both a T880 and a T800. T800 looks and sounds better but T880 is waaaaay more comfortable. I have to stuff 2.5" of shim under the floor mat of the 800 or my lower leg is sore almost instantly. It also lacks the adjustable shock seat so I'm bouncing for 8-12 hrs in its sardine can of a cab. They put a RAM computer mount aiming at your elbow of your shifting arm in that truck too because their geniuses.

    Still weird me out to see the trucks with twin steer axles especially that far apart is that just for better front weight distribution? With the second one behind the cab just seems it would suck if you had to make tight turn

    • @CountryEquipmentRentals
      @CountryEquipmentRentals  Před 5 lety +2

      jay s it gives us more front axle weight, which is better for towing and gives us more weight for anchor ability for recoveries, also it steers really well for how big the truck is

    • @CountryEquipmentRentals
      @CountryEquipmentRentals  Před 5 lety +3

      jay s Its also one more axle with brakes, and without it we would be overweight on the single steer. Plus it’s more stable in my opinion, they are both 20k axles and the front weight on them now is around 13500 each, otherwise it would be like 27k on a single 20k axle.

      I wouldn't say it's better, but different. For example, I would say that Ron takes pride in having intimate relationships with the people he works with in the community, with the people he's served with side by side. He strives for safety above all else first, then the job. He may do some things that are different but it makes his channel very enjoyable. I believe his faith plays a huge role in it as well. He may or may not have as a big crew as what we saw on this video or the resources to hire such a crew or vehicles, but he does quite well with what he does have. ^-^
