Shakespeare among the Trees

CREW OF PATCHES Theatre Company Ltd offers workshops, casting opportunities, and performances in a variety of settings, creating exciting new ways of presenting Shakespeare in the 21st century.
This video - 'Shakespeare among the Trees' - presents extracts from an open air performance which the CREW put on in the Dell, Stratford upon Avon, under the auspices of the Royal Shakespeare Company, in August 2023. Luckily it didn't rain and, despite the wind rustling through the trees, the actors projected their voices well and were brilliantly audible.
The event was filmed by James Willetts, who has put together this selection of extracts from the performance, ranging from the tragic and profound to the hilariously comic. It ends with a crazy 5 minute version of 'Romeo and Juliet' which should entertain viewers who watch through to the end of this 30 minute video. The original live performance lasted an hour, entertaining and delighting a sizeable audience of all ages.
