whatever dj that decided to play this track at that rave party video everybody in the comments saw is a legend. all these years later and people still looking for this track
One of the most unique vibes I've experienced in music. 1:52-2:07 especially has this industrial, gloomy, and sexy-80s-cyberpunk-bar feel to it that's hard to describe.
I was on shrooms last Saturday and the Dj was playing this track and let me tell you. This track sends you to destinations. I thought I was a fucking power puff girl with a green alien head and was dancing crazy. I’ve been looking for this track for a long time and almost forgot😭😢🖤
@@wdls1 yea i recently discovered ubdergroubd acid house. And man i love it, but when i look at old footage like this it's almost like modern day acid is derived from this. I dont know what I am looking for but music like this yes and dark acid techno stuff i love it. It pushed me into saving money for vinyls and getting myself some dj equipment
Nice to see people talking about the oldskool acidhouse. Just goes to show the more recent styles like grime and bashment havnt been there the way acid has 30 years on and still spoken highly of. Nice one people Love it Just starting djing in jan 2018 and have had since then a load of tunes oldskool burnt unto cd Should have started djing a long time ago. Bring back the classics The music today is rubbish Well if we could teach the kids today well yes that is there is proper music out there ring back classic days
The old rave sound is totally back in modern productions. Check artists like Böhm, Dawl, Mike Ash, Hornsey Hardcore, Dexorcist etc. Lots of good stuff there with great respect to the old school vibes.
I used to play this when I was the Friday Night resident DJ at Save The Robots in NYC's alphabet city. This came out at a time when everybody was ripping off e2e4 and incorporating samples into their tracks. It works!
YESSS!! i would love to hear more tbh i was so shocked when i heard that sample in this track it was my first time hearing it incorporated into another track
🚥🎵🚥Don't you just the late 80s House sound ,this one specifically with those Essential house Choon Elements ,such as the Drums & elongated- unique HighHats & cheeky sample of Sueno Latino - by Sueno Latino & Grooving melody I love this one alot 🚥🎵🚥😁
sometimes the bass reminds me of farley's 'give your self/house to me' but when the track morph's into manuel's E2-E4 it suddenly doesn't matter anymore! FIERCE!
If acidhouse was made popular again by serious takers then history would be repeated like before Reggae lovers ragga lovers bashment lovers soul lovers lovers of rock music etcetc would be drawn in to it the way it happened back then. Inc the jungleists to. Why not it happened that way before why not again. Big fun tune soul to soul I think yours lot need to listen to that tune again. Mark London
This is the Track of a Century!!! I first heard this one a few years ago on one of the classic daytime field rave vids somewhere outside of London, on CZcams. It has haunted me ever since!!! Thank you RJJNY for uploading this classic Bastard of Track!!!! As usual ;)
Yo! I had a mix tape back in college from like WBLS and the DJ mixed in the Whispers "And the Beat Goes On" with this track. Wondered what this song was for years. My roommate finally found the record. Great memories.
This is amazing. But nothing suckier than finding out a great track...and then not finding music that is up-to-par by the same artist. Often happens with remixes of course.
What i love about this tune ''So Where Are You (Hashish Dub Mix)'' is that it has that 1991 Belgian techno style with those Belgian stabs, bassline, and the eastern strings. The beat is also crystal clear and tribal, and even before the explosion of rave 1990-1992 sound this is really a game changer tune ahead for 1989. It captures the early techno rave vibe to the max, but with the 1989 charm. I really cannot understand the hype of the other ''Corporation Of One'' tune ''the real life''. So boring balearic 80's style synth pop / freestyle track, depressing and awful. Crap!
Twelve people who unfortunately just have no idea. If I saw that many thumbs up to so very few thumbs down... I would probably just keep my opinion to myself. Because obviously the truth has spoken. Illegal rave 1989 of course. But can you imagine the balls on that first person who thumbs downed this? If it had been me I would have had to take a deep look at myself.
This sounds so freakin' good with the natural reverb in that illegal acid house rave video. Anyone know if that vid was the US or UK? In any case...what a tune!
