Do u happen to know the answer as to y so few ppl in Bd take CSE(not CS)? I got into iub 2 days ago with fully funded scholarship but it seems I was the only one that actually took the CS course.
Also how big do u think are the disparities between universities like Waterloo or British Columbia(which I already got offers from) and brac/iub for CS?

As an alumni of BRAC University i would like to add more:
They are not recognized by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education. So when I started my Masters degree I in the UAE, I suffered alot.
Another point is they have messed up exam day schedule. You might have two final exams at the same day.
Moreover, the pre registration process is frustrating. You have to waste your whole day just to register a course.
Regarding the campus part, i got admission in 2012, they promised to have a permanent campus by 2014. Now its 2023 😂.
One more drawback is that they force professors to have a curve in courses, because of this many professors end up taking extremely difficult assessments.
Furthermore, the engineering labs are not that great. They wouldn't buy equipments.

Also, if your cgpa is low, your chance of getting admission to any postgraduate degree reduces. Since assessments are hard students mostly end up with a low cgpa.
I wanted to let people know the truth and thats why I am posting this.

Is it true that bracu is overcrowded? I got selected for admission in summer 23, but now I'm still not 100% sure if I want to study in such an overcrowded environment. The overcrowdedness combined with the lack of campus sounds like a nightmare to me.
Bangladesh as a country is overcrowded, don’t you think? Have you seen any uni/College/school which is not overcrowded? Yes BRACU has an urban campus in the middle of city. Once the new campus is operational things will be better I think.

Not sure which one you considered as ‘vul’? You can certainly transfer credit to BRACU but pls check with the respective school about their admission guidelines. Once you get transferred to BRACU you will become a student of this institution, so there will be no discrimination.

You still need to go through an admission process which isn’t that hard for post grad students. Your previous degree will be an added advantage for you.

Tarc is a residential semester for the students which is located in Savar birulia. It is one of the most unique and memorable experiences for students. None of the other universities have anything like this. I have a video on this check my videos. Yes it’s a compulsory practice one and if you do it, you will never want to leave the residential campus.

Answers:
1) Depends on how many courses you take in a session. Generally two days per course in week. The class schedule can be matched to coincide in the same day. In summary 3/4 days.
2) This one you have to check with authority as I’m on long term leave and not aware of the updated story.

Great question! BRACU CSE is the most popular department. Gets more students than any other courses. If you can get out with a good CGPA then you can get scholarship opportunities abroad. So your results will determine your pathway. If not abroad, you can still complete the degree from a reputable institution which will give you opportunity in local job market.

Visiting student means those who can transfer their study to another institution for a particular duration. It is similar to exchange opportunities. Generally this arrangements are in place for international students.

CGPA doesn’t matter to get good jobs. What is more important than your academic calibre is your ability to take some key lessons from university life. For example - how resilient you are, how good is your communication skill, how much mental strength do you have to handle difficult times. I have some videos on this topic. Check those out. This will be useful for you.

আমি মনে করি mid level এর প্রাইভেট ভার্সিটি তে না পড়ে কোন কলেজ থেকে পাসকোর্স এ পড়া অনেক better। পরবর্তিতে একবছরের PGD কোর্স নিয়ে চাকরি তে যেতে পারে।
@Kitkat-y4f mid level মানে কমদামি প্রাইভেট ভার্সিটি / নাম না জানা, কম চেনা প্রাইভেট ভার্সিটি। এগুলো এভয়েড করেন। দরকার হলে জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, নয়তো উম্মুক্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পড়েন, সেখানে পড়তে না পাড়লে কলেজ থেকে পাসকোর্স মানে অনার্সে ভর্তি হন চারবছর পর এম বি এর পরিবর্তে পোস্ট গ্রেজুয়েট ডিপ্লোমা নিলে সময় ও অর্থ দুইটাই বাচবে। ভালো চাকরিতে এপ্লাইও করা যাবে।

A so called university without campus should not exist.Feels more like a SAT IELTS coaching centre than a university.Student Intake is ridiculously high with no filtering.And the new campus probably wont start until end of 2024 at the earliest.
You are right in some regards. Most private universities in Bangladesh didn’t have their own campus few years ago. All of them used to be like coaching centres. From the last few years all of them have started to have their own campus. If you have seen BRAC residential campus and it’s facilities your ideas about BRAC will change. For the main campus, the wait has been long for several reasons. Hopefully it will start earlier than we expect. Thanks for watching my video!

You have to create your own opportunity. University will give you a piece of paper (certificate). You have to equip yourself with required skills to get a job.

I'm currently studying at a well known public university,I am admitted as a unit topper at admission test,,
But now the point is the environment here is just not suitable for me,, I am not finding this environment progressive for me ,I've got some bad experiences too ,and there's a session jam of two years, it will take 7 years just to complete my honours degree,,,so I am thinking about to leave it and study in BracU ,
This is going to be a brave decision to leave a public varsity for a private one but I hope I am not gonna regret it .

I don’t think it will be a bad decision. BRACU degree is highly valued in Bangladesh. So you can definitely leverage from that. Furthermore, I think the quality of education in top private universities are much better than public universities.
