These poor tortured souls. No amount of success can shield you from the heartbreak they’ve all experienced at different points in their life. And Rae’s rambling after Abe reacted to her divorce statement was too funny
They both honestly got the best possible separation scenario. Leslie was saved by the pandemic giving her time before an actual marriage to sort out her feelings. Abe wanted kids but divorced so fast they didn't start. Although painful he should be glad she cheated so fast. It could have been 10 years 3 kids in and no knowledge of how many and how long she's been with other men, not to mention having to test his kids to make sure they were actually his. Entering a doomed marriage is normal but getting out Scott free is very lucky

@@viper_3921 To my knowledge it's speculation not confirmed by any knowledgeable party. It is the most prominent and pervasive theory and was not refuted by any knowledgeable party. I think it's likely true due to it being the simplest most common reason for such a quick separation and the lack of denial. Wendy could refute the claim while not revealing the actual reason but she chose to endure the social backlash. The fact that she was socially ostracized by the OTV social circle tells me the situation was her fault and it was bad. Not too many common scenarios would lead to both a divorce and social ostracization

Honestly this group makes me feel good about my own life, we’ve seen with Leslie that even if you both love each other, sometimes walking away is the best choice and she’s done so well for herself. And with Abe, he also seems to be doing well (obviously we may never know the full story). It just proves you don’t have to have it all together by the age of 30, all of them have seen success in their 30s and all are happy and thriving outside of serious commitments

Yeah, I stopped watching them mostly. only watching otv and friends now and some random clips that get recommended like this so this caught me off guard. I swear they got married at the beginning of this year or end of last year so this sudden split was very unexpected.

Not long after that, the divorce is announced, and lots of people if the friend group unfollowed Wendy (Rae, Leslie, Miyoung, etc). Abe did not say anything about what had happened, just that people might be able to guess based on the social interactions in the group. Wendy also did not say anything about the divorce. Since it seems like Wendy is in the wrong here, people assumed she cheated during the festival.

I mean it depends on the people you are around. If you are around people who honestly believe that marriage is not only an institution, but as something sacred and worthwhile, you would see less divorce. If you are married to someone who respects and honors you, and is not a piece of shit, there would not be a reason to get divorced.
Honestly, I feel for Abe, and I am glad he tried to make it work; but I would like to ask Wendy if it was worth it. Granted I do not know to what degree do Abe and Wendy consider "cheating"; but Abe honestly got cucked and walked into Wendy having some lecherous joining, yes I believe Abe was justified in getting divorced. I just feels like a waste of 7 years of dating, to end a young and budding marriage for a fling.
It depends it's not that simple, clearly Abe saw it as something sacred and the way they responded to the cheating, the friend group is disgusted by what happened. But I think Wendy was just not really in love, what happens if you force marriage in such a scenario is just the inevitable. The most important thing is to be with someone you can imagine you can be happy with forever, you don't even need the paper in that case, that IS marriage.
