Any advice on how to get better at Battleship pvp? I like flying blaster boats like Mega and Hyperion. I guess my question is really... what is the battleship equivalent to telling a newbro to "go welp 100 rifters and then you'll get the hang of it"

Well most of the success comes from understanding what your ship/fit can and can't do, and from the right setup of the engagement with the surprise element(which is you and your battleship). If you are not in control of the "when" factor, most of the time your opponent will simply play to counter you and you will get dropped to hell and it wont really matter how good or bad you are. Then there are of course things like the grid awareness, target selection and module management; they will only get better with more practice and some of them with more knowledge. So I know its not really optimal to welp 100 battleships whenever you feel like it, but being out there in the space, in an engagement is the only thing that will make you better imo.
@@ryl1352 Amazing response! I live out of a C4 and (oddly) do a lot of K-space pvp. Keeps the hunting grounds fresh and often can surprise unsuspecting null and low residents with good effect in T3C's and T3D's (primarily solo/small gang). But I'd like to get more comfortable in BS because it's a hull class I've done almost zero PVP in. You've confirmed my suspicions, the best way to learn is by doing "being out there in the space"

@@SlurmzMacKenzie usually you shouldn't start with battleships unless you have a really good understanding of they work. all this types of fights really show is that the guys he attack dont have that understanding, and try kill him in all the wrong ways. just trowing cruisers at a properly fitted battleships are def not the way to go, and this ship is easily countered buy neuting ship and some ok dps. last pack had the idea, but they was using a typhoon as a neuting boat witch dont have any bonuses towards it. the easiest way to kill this type of ship are a bhaalgorn for neuts, and they really nasty on this ship, and something like a vindicator for dps, and it should be an easy fight. especially if you also toss inn a curse or even a t1 crucifier for good measure to make sure this megathron wont have more then 1.5-2 km falloff range and wont be able to hit anything.
but hey, everything got an easy counter, so i guess the way to go are bring them out and hope you get a proper fun fight instead of just getting slaughtered:)

Thanks, man. But im too casual to stream. This is like a month's worth of content. I record the fights, mash the good ones into a video and upload it. That's pretty much all I can afford with the limited time i have for EvE.

why do you claim its solo pvp when you use more than one ship
“Solo” means me and my alt army. “True solo” means one ship, but ppl will still have scout alts, a backup recon, the boys waiting on the other side of the hole etc
so solo pvp is to accounts that your flying is solo???? 2 accounts is not solo
Yup and then take a look at launcher and how many account are logged in. And half of the player are multi boxing. So then you wonder how big the playerbase is when they only log-in 1 account
you cant roam in battleships...
