    I started lifting weights as soon as I got my T7
    I did not feel I had enough upper body strength to handle it’s weight.
    We see Paul Tarres in The Saharan dunes and think ‘I can do that too…’ 😂😂
    NO WE CAN’T! 😀

      This is a great advice , I will probably start doing that 😀

      I can do it…only kidding 😂

    The problem with the t7 is that its a flat bike, when it fell, its flat and you have to pick it up from the ground.. also the weight distribution is very bad. All thew weight is up. I am glad you are ok and no injuries

      Thanks , I was fine after the fall (my leg was hurting a little but it passed).
      You are right , the bike weight distribution is very bad and when it falls its flat on the ground .
      You can check the video on my desert ride with the T7 (first adventure ride I did with the T7) , I encountered these issues for the first time but on more challenging terrain ...

    Great videos but be careful. I have a Tenere 700 too but I’m lucky to have a Background racing motox and enduro..these bikes are very capable in experienced hands.

      thanks man
      I am starting go gain confidence on the bike, its not easy to move from a small dual sport to this mid size adventure bike but I am starting to have fun with it

    Happened to me on a XR250R, leg went down underneath the header pipe and wasn't wearing boots. NASTY burn. Now, I am quick to just let the bike fall and get out of the way. I've heard some horror stories of dropping Harley's and crushing their ankles in a similar manner.

    • @Itzik_Arazi
      @Itzik_Arazi  Před 3 měsíci

      Sorry to hear about the burn ...
      Its a real concern now that the bike is heavier that If it will fall on me it can break my leg or something .
      I think the only thing that bother me about this bike is the weight, on my old wr250r I could lift it easily and this one is tricky .

  • @advinjapan
    @advinjapan Před 6 měsíci +1

    Yeah, been there done that. I was going so fast that when the bike dig in it launched me forward off the bike. Soft landing, but man is it a dead stop. It’s good you had Mx boots👍

    • @Itzik_Arazi
      @Itzik_Arazi  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hi , Yes the boots saved my leg I could feel the bike weight on it ...
      What was the tire pressure when you rode fast ?

    • @advinjapan
      @advinjapan Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@Itzik_Arazi yeah it’s scary having all that weight on one leg. As for tire pressure, it was slightly lower than usual, but not much because I had a bent rim already, couldn’t take chances.

    It helps to give it a little bit more gas in sand :P

      Everyone is telling me to speed up in deep sand, I am trying to build confidence doing that on this big bike

    Should ALWAYS be taken in to consideration when shopping for a bike. If you ride alone, even if infrequently, you had better Know proper techniques, and make sound decisions. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if you were alone ? 😳

    • @Itzik_Arazi
      @Itzik_Arazi  Před 5 měsíci

      Since I bought this bike I am not riding alone anymore because of that .
      My enduro boots saved my leg again because the bike kind of hurt my leg when it fell down on it but I am ok .
      I am still getting used to the bike and changing my riding techniques to adjust for the extra weight and size .

  • @Twilight_Charger
    @Twilight_Charger Před 6 měsíci +1

    The comments about the gym are total bs. It’s all about experience and technique. I’m still learning to master deep sand as well. I have a Tuareg 430 lbs without crash bars and luggage. If you are alone and have to pick up a 500 lbs bike 3 or 4 times you are spent, gym or no gym. My answer: bought a Husqvarna fe501s 😅

    • @Itzik_Arazi
      @Itzik_Arazi  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I checked the fe501 and also the ktm 500 before buying the Tenere .
      The issue is that road use with it is not as comfortable as the Tenere , the scheduled maintenance on it is very short and also there is no key for this bike so I can't leave it under my house as I do with the Tenere ...

    • @Twilight_Charger
      @Twilight_Charger Před 6 měsíci

      I'm going to keep my middle weight for longer more on road oriented trips. But I'll use my Husky 501 for more off road and trail trips with more confidence. The maintenance is not a problem for me the way the bike is designed. Mine has a key? not much of a key but it's a key. @@Itzik_Arazi

    Riding sand requires proper body position and speed. More speed. A gym won't help. You better attend an adv instructor.

    • @Itzik_Arazi
      @Itzik_Arazi  Před 6 měsíci

      I think I will need an adv instructor , most of the skills that I learned on my small wr250r dual sport don't apply with this big bike , and yes I think I will need some more muscles when riding an adv bike :-)

  • @dogoldsh
    @dogoldsh Před 6 měsíci +1

    Impressive bike and channel but in my opinion you need to eat more and train yourself muscles in the gym to be able to to move your leg under the bike
    What is the weight of the bike ?enjoy❤😂

    • @Itzik_Arazi
      @Itzik_Arazi  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi Doron
      Yes this is a great advice , I think a little more muscles will do the trick 🙂
      This bike weight about 210 kilos so moving it from you when you are pinned down under it is a little challenging
