It sucks that TRR doesn’t do better authentication. Will definitely check out one of these services.
It is pretty incredible how affordable these authentication services are. And it helped me not make a $7000 mistake! Can you imagine if I find out later when I go to sell this bag? That would be devastating for me!
Thank you so much for this video, I just purchased a large Chanel heart bag that passed eBay’s authentication but looked suspicious to me and I used legit grails and real authentication to determine it’s fake. Hopefully I can get a refund.

Ugh, I’m going through the same thing with eBay. I’m sorry for your awful experience. I got a WOC from a highly rated seller and it turned out to be fake (Legit Grails and Real Authentication). This WOC is so good I can’t spot the difference (maybe in the circular inside logo, but that’s only because I’m looking for the discrepancy). I’m honestly very worried about the resale market now. It’s just too high risk.. I’m so disappointed, I’ve been buying preloved way before it was popular, getting a luxury deal was my thing. But it’s lost its appeal these days, this is the third counterfeit I’ve bought and I’m so tired of the return process.
Oh no! Sorry to hear this. Yes, it's getting harder and harder to spot the fakes for sure. I see lots of people downsizing their collection but for me I cannot imagine having to restock later by buying on the resale market. It is beyond scary and what a hassle it is to return the item the platform has deemed "authentic". I hope you got your money back!
I refuse to support shady businesses that have their businesses model based on fake marketing. Their so called "authenticators" are amateurs that can barely tell the differnece between leather and pvc. Most of their items are priced the same or sometimes more than other preloved sites, and usually the description does not match the condition of the items. I bought a "Lanvin hoodie in good condition". The hoodie looked like it deserved to be in the trash AND it was definitely not Lanvin quality (FAKE).
I totally understand what you mean. I got plenty of items where the condition was not as described or photos looked way better than the actual item. Once I got a Ferragamo coat and looks like moth had a lunch in one area. I would say not detail oriented in the inspection. I had to contact customer service and get the shipping refunded both ways. How long was it since you bought it and communicated with TRR that it was a fake? I bought a couple items from them before and I'm so worried they're fake now and that won't do anything about it
It was 3 days. If your purchases comes back as fake from a reputable authentication service, I would reach out to TRR customer service with that info. I would assume you could get a refund in the form of site credit to buy something else if it's been awhile. It may not be easy, but its worth a try in the event that happened. Thats horrible to hear. You made a very important point that no authenticity company can be 100 percent accurate all the time! But always best to get a reputable professional to look. I sell preloved luxury and preach to my followers to be mindful of who they are trusting. Always buy from people who show proof. Not just make empty statements of "100% authentic". I came here looking for info on legit grails. Have you used them other than on this video? If so what was your experience? LOOVE how their response here was so detailed. Some companies say something is fake but never tell why...
I use LegitGrails on other videos too, and so far so good. But that doesn't mean sometime in the future LegitGrails or anyone else could be involved in a scandal. If that does happen I will need to re-evaluate at that time. If LegitGrails is not sure and they cannot verify fake or authentic, then they will give you credit to use toward the next authentication.
There was a situation where LegitGrails said they can't verify and RealAuthentication said authentic. That was a head scratcher. I didn't want to take the risk so I returned the Hermes Jumping Boots. Even after getting the results the buyer needs to make a decision if he/she wants to accept the results or not. So glad this video was helpful!
@@CravingLux You are absolutely right! Any company can make a mistake because the fakes are getting so good these days. I personally would rather someone say they are unsure than tell me authentic without being very certain. I have even seen reports of mishaps with entrupy even though a lot of folks trust them. Real authentication has some not so nice things written on their trust pilot- makes me weary tbh.Yes, thank you for the feedback as I was looking for a company to authenticate a jewelry piece for my shop.
@@fashionbeautybri Yes, I agree! I rather the company said I am not sure rather than yes or no. Authentication is getting harder and harder as counterfeiter are getting better and sometimes smarter. I learned that no one can authenticate Hermes metal bag charms. I am doing a video on that. Stay tuned!

Hey, Girls!- Who can really authenticate better then Chanel Brand??- why not to buy just from Chanel store to be 100% sure??- I personally don't believe in any authentication services!- My Opinion- All this Authentication (except real Chanel stores who unfortunately dont provide this service if items were bought on side!)- Comes out of Blue and Making a good Profit on ppl ‼️😮
All comments are welcome! I would love to buy Chanel heart bag at the store but it was already all reserved months before the launch date. I went to 9 store across 2 states and overseas 2 months before trying to reserve it and no luck. This bag was around $800 over retail price which I was ok with if it was real. I buy preloved and over retail price because I can't get it new from the store. Thanks for watching!

I can tell this Chanel bag is not authentic. Like Immediately. The stitching gives it away.

What a sad sad ending to the story!! And so infuriating you had to debate it with TRR!! They need to acknowledge their loss on accepting a fake bag and not relist!
