I just ordered Falcam F50 QR for manfrotto plates, hoping that the ducktail would work is it's manfrotto. This will make mounting the whole thing on a tripod easy without stripping out anything from the shoulder rig.

Great rig! I've been using the Bright Tangerine kasbah system which I love but this title solution also looks fab! Interesting monitor positioning too! I always mount mine out forward in front of my face at eye level but yours seems a bit more relaxed.

i have almost the same setup but different camera. Placing focus wheel on the handle will eat your energy in long time shootings. I learned the hard way. I placed the focus wheel upper side of the handle and used it with my thumb while holding the handle. It was much more comfortable. Great build btw

When I saw the calligraphic inscription on the lens, that it was a cooke lens.... and in the first seconds it was wild for me that a solo filmmaker had such an expensive lens. And considering that they are usually bought not one at a time, but as a set, this was even wilder for me. But thank God there are ordinary dzofilm

maybe try a viewfinder instead it'll save weight and give you another point of contact. Also mechanic gloves help alot with tightening and loosening rigs. Helps me tear my hands up less.

@@lostinayalandim not sure if you refer to the nucleus nano here but tbh the nucleus nano always tries to kill itself on my rig. The clamp that it has is the weakest nato clamp that Iv seen, it gets loose , you can also accidentally push the lever, literally the worst design imo. Im really not a fan of it.
Also please dor the love of god try the ifootage magicarms, I use the same setup , you can tighten it with one half rotation , it has a quick release built in on both sides. Just ditch the smallrig .

Is the fact that this setup is very front heavy ever an issue? I haven't used a shoulder rig before but my understanding is you'd want it to be balanced so the weight is on your shoulder, not on your hands. Even so much that you could take your hands off and it shouldn't move. Do you have any thoughts about the balance of this rig, or rigs in general?

Tilta Nano II is much superior to Smallrig. The Smallrig shifts the focus throw after a while. The focus ring gets detached too easily. It's total crap for me, not a serious product. One of the companies where I work bought a bunch of them and they were a very bad investment. Avoid it!
Besides, the Tilta has also two axis control, you can pair two motors and use them for a zoom too, with the little rocker it has. Not at broadcast level, but you can achieve decently smooth zooms.
And you can use the Tilta N handwheel with M motors, which are much more sturdy than these motors that use the crap usb-c connectors that are super fragile. It's still hard to believe that in 2024 manufacturers still make focus motors powered with usb-c, when there are so cheap Lemo chinese copies available, super strong and reliable.

@@nicolapaoli4561 thanks for your input but I’m sure we’d all agree SEEING is a lot better than “trust me bro “
Also a few statements which further add to the doubt in your opinion :
      - as far as I know both can control 2 motors. That’s not a feature unique to Tilta
      - both option we’re comparing here use usb c although the small rig has the wireless option albeit the bulky NPF
      - we’re not comparing the outdated M
If someone makes statement like “it’s total crap for me, not a serious product “ then show us why and how the tilta fixes those issues .
Not it’s made in china . Literally everything is made in china especially Tilta

@@Tusa_Mamba seeing? You know how many youtubers publish videos "reviewing" products they received for free from sponsors, who have the last words of what should be said in the video?? Somehow those products are always gold even when they are crap. I wonder why ahah. Not saying in any way that this channel is doing this of course, I just recently discovered this creator and I liked the content so far.
I would actually be happy to listen to the experience of people who bought the units with their own money and used them, to know if they are good or not.
I used many times both Smallrig and Tilta N2, and I also own 3 Tilta N original old version, still working great. I am not sponsored, would love to be haha. So let me tell you:
-Smallrig can control 2 motors? I guess, if you buy one handle with the little wheel too, together with the main wheel. But the hand wheel that she shows here, only has one wheel, it doesn't control more than one motor.
-yes, both have usb-c, and it's not a good thing. And sorry but I don't think it is serious to add a battery to the motor. I did use it like that for quite a while, just because the producer bought the stuff and we had to use it. Very bad investment. Results? After not long time, the np-f smallrig plate wasn't locking anymore and kept falling to the ground (together with the battery). Cheap plastic, bad quality, definitely not professional. How can someone think that attaching a battery directly to the focus motor is a good idea? Plus, adding one more battery that needs to be taken care of is not efficient on a real life production set. Especially if you run multiple cameras setup, you know that the less the number of batteries, the less you risk to forget one and have no juice mid shot. In general, one camera kit should have one battery only, a part in case of special needs.
-😂the outdated M?? Have you got any idea of how many high end Hollywood productions still use it on cameras and lenses that cost like a house? How it is outdated exactly? It does more than what the Smallrig does, better, with much better and sturdier connectors, much higher torque motors, its FIZ handwheel can control 3 axis without needing to buy extra parts.
The fact that Tilta did it better and sooner than Smallrig doesn't make it outdated. Oh, and it doesn't shift the focus throw as the Smallrig does, which is quite important, for a wireless focus system😅. Just that, is enough to make me say that a focus system is crap, if it can't do reliably enough its job. When in the middle of a long shooting you discover that at the end of the handle turn it doesn't reach the end of the focus limit in the same way it did half an hour before. If this is a focus system... and it's not one faulty unit. We tried with four of them, it's how it is made.
It's not an opinion, it is a fact, direct experience.
