I admire how they use plutonium to get to pluto lol
Well Uranium wouldn't make any sense now would it ;)
They used Uranium to get to Uranus.
They had the chance and they took it
They used murcury for their trip to murcury
Thats lit, like #100
it's sweet how they put the dudes ashes man
Yea, the perfect homage.
that dude is my idol. i am doing a phd and come across his work everyday
I like the fact that they put the stamp which says "Pluto not yet explored" from 1991 😂
the ending statement made me smile, for some reason :)
Agreed!
It made me too!
same here
if you smile the whole world would smile so keep smiling. ;)
so when some one call you ape you smile ? that's weird
They should give you guys some awards or something. This is one of the best channels on CZcams.
+Cerrone Samuel Yes if not the very best, for three reasons IMO: The videos have high production values, they choose interesting subjects, and the comments are mostly on topic. Where else do you see that?
they should if its not too late
Cerrone Samuel i konw right? Instead, youtube awards crappy channels with million subscribers and views about nonses content. And all of that, for what?
Yep, you are right, - All of that for what - We won't ever get to another Sun....Not this Humanity, we are bound here on this Planet Earth and no one seams to really value it.....until it is too late...!
no its not
To get an idea of all that empty space in our solar system _alone_, chew on this fun fact:
*Every other planet can fit between the earth and the moon with room to spare.*

Vox
As a subscriber and massive fan, I am honored by your approval.
Harry Balzak still not enough space for Kanye West's ego.
but enough for Kim's butt
This isn't really too surprising, considering that if it wasn't that way, planets would crash into each other.
Purely mind blowing that humans have got to a point where we can send spacecraft to a destination billions of miles away. Culmination of thousands of years of knowledge and science. Just epic.
What i love about space travel is the fact that Humans are never actually going to or flying at any of these objects, rather just some boring empty point in space. But the use of complex calculations allow for a planned collision course to take place so objects like planets and probes cross paths, giving us the many wonderful images of our solar system.
Damn. Vox, your video's are always on point! Beautiful animations and editing.
+Nepul K Until they brought in species "evolving".
+John Jhoon lol
+John Jhoon true lmao
1:24 This is a man's arm
John Smith well observed :) I needed both of my arms for the camera so this is a helper arm. -joss
John Smith Even if that was a woman's, it wouldn't and shouldn't be of concern to you :P It's just not very important or relevant to the video to be honest :)
Lol we still don't understand how spires evolve
No, it's just a feminist.
Mr.Money very few women shave their arm hair...
Because it's not that thick
And even the few that do have nothing like that guys arm hairs
Idk why but I'm soo proud and I'm not even American. I feel like this is one of the greatest discoveries for all humankind. Really grateful.
This channel should be more famous!
+Neil Samuel my thoughts exactly
+Bikram Shah my thoughts exactly
BOB.org don't let anyone stop you, be the Hannah you deserve to be, ride that ball and wreck those walls, I believe in you!
This channel is famous now, but it has degraded to some sjw propaganda channel.
Its doing alright, they even got a series on netflix
Do you realise that 99% of the world do not understand imperial units? I really like you channel but could you please use metric/both units in your videos?
Konrad Lajlajlaj metric sucks
gregistopal methinks you'll find it makes way more sense than imperial which is why most advanced countries use it
How many of those advanced countries have sent people to the moon? :^)
Come back and say that when NASA uses the imperial system then.
Honestly the imperial system is stupid, and that's coming from an american! I would like the metric system, but since I was raised on the imperial system the change would be drastic for me to understand.
0:05 "the date was January 9th, 2006"
Oh, it was 14 years ago..
3 more days till its 15th anniversary
Vox is awesome, but at least put metric in parenthesis?
Contextualizing human experiences within the scale of the universe gives me chills. So inspiring.
Ur profile pic is only a book with you.
same here.
It's so weird to come back to this and realize that just five years ago we didn't even know what pluto looked like...
Akorn same
When they said 2019 I went oh yeah I remember that
Pluto: Hello new friend! It's been a long time ever since- wait, is that stuff from Ear-
Horizon: * flies past *
Horizons: **proceeds to slowly float away without saying anything**
I live for Vox. Thank you so much for making such amazing content your way
Amazing how crisp and interesting Vox is covering topics.
Absolutely spectacular. For all I can say, Thankyou Vox Team!
I'm in genuine awe, and nearly cried.
This is the first video I saw from Vox, and after 50 videos I am happy I found this channel. Thanks.
Vox quality performs again
This made me cry.
I remember this event. I was 9 years old when I heard this on the news. It said that it can reach the pluto after 9 years so by the time I will reach 18, it must get there. Now that I am 24 years old, I wanna know the updates of the mission.
The exact amount of optimism to make those apes do more!! Love Vox hope you guys do more about space .
Fantastic video production Vox :) More videos covering scientific and engineering topics would gladly be appreciated!
1:36 when I actually passed my exams without even trying
I loved this video, one of the best Vox-videos so far
I'm literally tearing up right now I love space & I love Pluto so much!
Thank you for the clear explanation it really helped me understand very clearly thanks
You really put things into perspective with this one
Its amazing how much information box gives us in a couple of minutes
Their amazing 😃😃😃👍
those last comments gave me goose bumps and thanks to your other videos i know that was a vestigial response. :D
Honestly, this host can go on to make her own channel and I would watch that instead of Vox. She is the reason I watch Vox videos. Keep up the good work!
Dingo Egret she just reads the script vox gives her
I first heard about this satellite when I was in elementary and I remember being able to see the New Horizons pictures for the first time in my high school cafeteria on my cell phone :,)
Well done! I was looking for a video like this to show my 4 year old who has a passion for all things space!
i freaking love this channel, you guys are seraphss
Vox , you have a simple and a unique way to explain , thanks
Thank you Vox, for teaching me more in 4 min than a week of science at school -_-
Big fan of your videos. Really nice surprise to hear one of my tracks (Animated Voltage) on this one.
that's not your track. prove it
That part towards the end-placing the thought how Pluto would see things differently just another time- Damn! That would make it cry out of wonder and doubt if ever it were to have any human Outlook , well, driving it too mad to think anything else.
I hope one day, human will find more advanced technology to explore the space faster and efficiently.. I wish I will still alive when that time comes.. 😌
Unfortunately there may be limits on space travel. It might not be possible to get to words on the other side of the galaxy. Of course we should always look for ways which we will do.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
This movie was amazing! I don't know why you have only 130k viewers, u deserve more, much more!
Another amazing fact about the Horizons mission is that even though it launched 9 years before it made it to Pluto, NASA had predicted its rendezvous time to within ONE MINUTE of the actual rendezvous time. Now *THAT* is precision!
JW3HH
Sometimes my life feels so futile, compared to what the universe has going. Such big things happening in the background. Amazing!
Mellow Exactly man, it's like Carl Sagan said, cosmology is a profound source of spirituality, it leaves one feeling in awe and wonder at the incredible nature of the universe. Why hem it down to silly petty fables by ignorant ancient man? Geez, some people are just dumb!
You deserved more subscribers! Great channel! I need to subscribe.
Vox deserves more subscribers.
i just love this channel!!
Vox always delivers
This makes me so happy! ^-^
those were some awesome photos it sent back
Love Vox they make the best vids
An incredible incredible achievement !!
I need that stamp for my collection.
If only it wasnt travelling at 52 times the speed of sound (asl) on a space probe
+SpudShroom true
Do you collect stamps as well?
+Sam Tarrant yes
ben patterson I've just got into it, how long have you been doing it?
Loved this!
Best and simple keep it up vox
It's January 2019. I'm pumped.
Again Joss Fong still looks gorgeous :3
Whenever a Vox video has a "incredible" in the title it's usually some cool uplifting stuff
The ending line killed it!
I love Vox!
The amount of knowledge and advancement NASA has brought mankind in less then a century is staggering
you guys make good videos
My middle school science teachers dad worked on this spacecraft. Unfortunately he died before it got to Pluto.
This channel makes me fall in love with mankind
So we can reach Pluto in just 10 years?? That is surprisingly quick.
They used Jupiter to catapult New Horizons towards pluto
Pluto deserved more respect.
I really, really love this video for no reason except it makes me feel like a star-struck kid who loves space again.
Hey Vox, Japan's Hayabusa program is an awesome material to make a video on!
They did an incredible feat as well!!
wow..good explanation
The first track in this video is Circus Overture by Sammy Burdson and John Charles Fiddy. It played in Plankton's success montage in Chum Bucket Supreme.
you're weird for noticing that but i love you regardless
I know my name is on that disk.
Yeah I’m cool.
“Keep going.”
Keeps on walking
“Now get on a train”
HAHAHAHHA THAT KILLED ME
I love the animation!!!
Just incredible!
that last quote is very powerful
I love that ending
Incredible, just incredible.
Why only 1.7 millions subscribers?1?1 Its such a good channel!
Who else is watching on 2016 after horizon passed Pluto

Fascinating
Puts things in perspective...
I heard that intro music from Spongebob where Plankton is getting customers while making Mr Krabs Cry while Cash register dings.
Awesome video, could you add metric units please?
Visited Pluto 5 fricken years ago! Wow
Wow just wow
Vox means voice in Latin.
wow, incredible
That is awesome
"A curious species of apes"
I was almost laughing when I heard that.
4 years later and it’s still traveling
It is now 2020. Years go so fast
2021 babyyyyyyyyyyyy
3:25 wow 😁😁
How do you make good content so fast?
One suggestion fo future videos is to have dual measruing units for instance mph and kph
who else is watching in 2019? or 2020?
