MATILDA THE MUSICAL DANCE | STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL

This is a step by step dance tutorial of how to do the dance from "Matilda The Musical" movie. The dance is incredible, and I saw that a lot of people asked for a slow tutorial, so here it is! 😉
I've tried to break it down and make it as easy as possible to follow along, so even beginners (with a lot of patience) will be able to learn this dance if they just keep practicing 😉

I'm trying to learn this with a sprained ankle and have been having a hard time with the feet movement as its the left ankle I sprained but using the chairs made it so much easier thanks so much!

Apologies but I feel like I don't see the girl go onto her heels in the same way you do. Is this because she's moving forward and we are trying this stationary?

You’re right that it does seem that Matilda is ‘cheating’ a bit by going on the toes (ball of her foot) instead of going on her heels 😜
The steps that I’m showing in this video is directly from the source (choreographer of the dance), so I know that it’s how it’s supposed to be danced 😊 I have even seen Matilda do it on her heels in one of her TikTok videos.
Having said that, it is actually hard to do it on your heels, so just do it on your toes if that’s better for you 😉
