Dimash is such a good performer. He knows how to deliver a song, where to place each run, tone and nuance. He feels each song. I teared up, especially towards the end of the song knowing the tragic Titanic story of the woman's now dead lover singing to her memory, the young couple in love dancing, and the photo of her, now older remembering and longing for him, was almost too much for me. Each Dimash performance is a story in itself. Wow! Go well, Sabina.

Yes, Dimash performed the song well. He added a ton of little flourishes that kept the song from being boring - no easy feat. Let's start with the premise. Who thinks it's a great idea to make a fun musical about a ship sinking and killing thousands of people in the cold North Atlantic due to crew incompetence? Raise your hand. Nobody? Well, then. Let's proceed. The melody is insipid. You don't have to take *my* word for it. Celine Dion, on first exposure to the song when the filmmakers were recruiting her, hated it. She was right. Smart lady. So smart, in fact, that she managed to rescue a melody as simple as a nursery rhyme with her own performance - which, like Dimash's, was full of embellishments not written into the song. Take out those embellishments and what's left isn't worth a trip to the drug store, let alone a theater. (At least the drug store will have tissues.) The lyrics are aren't merely emotional. They're sappy. Overwrought. This isn't poetry, it's just grabbing words with emotional freight and stringing them together. Anyone can play! Forever. Heart. Miss you. Brave. Memory. I'm crying already. I'd ask you for a tissue, but you're out of stock. No wonder Celine hated it. But such is her talent, she was able to rescue it. Barely. It's still a terrible song, but when you have artists like Celine and Dimash to work with, you can make 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' sound pretty good. Not great. But pretty good. This song isn't the high point of Dimash's career. It's not the low point, either, but it's closer to the latter than the former. I don't go out of my way to listen to 'My Heart Will Go On,' unless you - yes, you, Sabina - take me there with you. So I endured it. Just to be polite. I'm nice that way. Oh, you want to know Dimash's low point? I'll cast my vote for the time he appeared on a Chinese talk show and was induced to sing 'SOS' while two comedians tickled him. I see I have been playing my 'Grumpy Old Man' routine a little too vigorously, so I'll make it up to you. Here is a link featuring the Italian director of the unreleased film, 'Creators: The Past,' who is also the principal composer of the song 'Endless Dimensions,' answering questions about the film and about recruiting Dimash to sing for the ending credits (and for the teaser trailer you've seen). There are English subtitles on the video. This guy hired *three* singers to demo the song for Dimash while trying to sign him. I know this is another topic, but please watch the FB video of an interview with Piergiuseppe Zaia, who wrote the movie and music for Across Endless Dimensions. He said he had to hire 3 singers (baritone, tenor and soprano) to demonstrate to Dimash what that song should sound like. He credits Dimash with keeping the movie alive even though it has not been released. Dimash's Dears have made that song, meant to be at the end of the movie with the credits, so famous that over 2 million people have seen the video. He is in awe of Dimash. I have listened to some of Dimash's songs literally hundreds of times but this is the first time I've heard him sing this song. Tissue paper shortage there as well! I hated the original version and was glad when techno remixes were released .My favorite are the rock/metal remixes of most pop songs. Dimash did what he does best, another beautiful performance

Sabina, I was wondering not seeing your reaction for few days. I prefer Dimash version to Celine Dion because I had attended her concert and actually I was not impressed. Having said that,, you noticed how Dimash changed the tone of the song during this performance on Hainan International Film Festival. He ended the song with a tender note looking at the picture of “ Rose”. He had sang high note and even longer note before that . I believe that he had better interpretation of the song and arranged the music accordingly. It is the best version of this song as far as I am concerned 😦 .

Also I’m trying out a new reaction schedule, where I react Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and see how that works 🤗 So far I miss the Daily reactions but now I have more time to Work. I have attended many of famous artists concerts as I have informed you in other comments but sometimes artists can have fantastic voice but can’t convey the message, for example, Johnny Mattis , his voice sounded exactly like in the record or CD. For the ladies, I personally prefer Whitney Houston and Shirley Bassey ( British singer) who sang two of “ Jame Bond” movies. That’s before your time I believe- “ Diamonds are for ever” and “ Gold fingers “. Beyoncé gave an outstanding performance with lots of dancing and her dancers were terrific but I hardly know her songs. Most of these artists are not capable of interaction with the audiences. Celine solo performances, like in Los Vegas, was very ordinary, to my surprise! You saw in your reaction with Dimash how he was genuinely happy to react with his audiences, it’s not like that in other concerts I have attended-- very “ put on “, you know what I mean. That’s how I felt! Take care and be well 😘

Let's start with the premise. Who thinks it's a great idea to make a fun musical about a ship sinking and killing thousands of people in the cold North Atlantic due to crew incompetence? Raise your hand.
Nobody? Well, then. Let's proceed.
The melody is insipid. You don't have to take *my* word for it. Celine Dion, on first exposure to the song when the filmmakers were recruiting her, hated it. She was right. Smart lady. So smart, in fact, that she managed to rescue a melody as simple as a nursery rhyme with her own performance - which, like Dimash's, was full of embellishments not written into the song. Take out those embellishments and what's left isn't worth a trip to the drug store, let alone a theater. (At least the drug store will have tissues.)
The lyrics are aren't merely emotional. They're sappy. Overwrought. This isn't poetry, it's just grabbing words with emotional freight and stringing them together. Anyone can play! Forever. Heart. Miss you. Brave. Memory. I'm crying already. I'd ask you for a tissue, but you're out of stock.
No wonder Celine hated it. But such is her talent, she was able to rescue it. Barely. It's still a terrible song, but when you have artists like Celine and Dimash to work with, you can make 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' sound pretty good. Not great. But pretty good.
This song isn't the high point of Dimash's career. It's not the low point, either, but it's closer to the latter than the former. I don't go out of my way to listen to 'My Heart Will Go On,' unless you - yes, you, Sabina - take me there with you. So I endured it. Just to be polite. I'm nice that way.
Oh, you want to know Dimash's low point?
I'll cast my vote for the time he appeared on a Chinese talk show and was induced to sing 'SOS' while two comedians tickled him.
I see I have been playing my 'Grumpy Old Man' routine a little too vigorously, so I'll make it up to you. Here is a link featuring the Italian director of the unreleased film, 'Creators: The Past,' who is also the principal composer of the song 'Endless Dimensions,' answering questions about the film and about recruiting Dimash to sing for the ending credits (and for the teaser trailer you've seen). There are English subtitles on the video. This guy hired *three* singers to demo the song for Dimash while trying to sign him. He couldn't find one who could sing the entire thing, other than Dimash himself. So, enjoy this little trip into Dimash trivia.

I know this is another topic, but please watch the FB video of an interview with Piergiuseppe Zaia, who wrote the movie and music for Across Endless Dimensions. He said he had to hire 3 singers (baritone, tenor and soprano) to demonstrate to Dimash what that song should sound like. He credits Dimash with keeping the movie alive even though it has not been released. Dimash's Dears have made that song, meant to be at the end of the movie with the credits, so famous that over 2 million people have seen the video. He is in awe of Dimash. I have listened to some of Dimash's songs literally hundreds of times but this is the first time I've heard him sing this song. Tissue paper shortage there as well! I hated the original version and was glad when techno remixes were released .My favorite are the rock/metal remixes of most pop songs. Dimash did what he does best, another beautiful performance

Sabina, I was wondering not seeing your reaction for few days. I prefer Dimash version to Celine Dion because I had attended her concert and actually I was not impressed. Having said that,, you noticed how Dimash changed the tone of the song during this performance on Hainan International Film Festival. He ended the song with a tender note looking at the picture of “ Rose”. He had sang high note and even longer note before that . I believe that he had better interpretation of the song and arranged the music accordingly. It is the best version of this song as far as I am concerned 😦 .

Also I’m trying out a new reaction schedule, where I react Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and see how that works 🤗 So far I miss the Daily reactions but now I have more time to Work. And yes it was brilliant that he ended up with a picture of Rose also, and it’s sad that the Celine concert was unimpressive! I had expected her to be a great live performer!

I have attended many of famous artists concerts as I have informed you in other comments but sometimes artists can have fantastic voice but can’t convey the message, for example, Johnny Mattis , his voice sounded exactly like in the record or CD. For the ladies, I personally prefer Whitney Houston and Shirley Bassey ( British singer) who sang two of “ Jame Bond” movies. That’s before your time I believe- “ Diamonds are for ever” and “ Gold fingers “. Beyoncé gave an outstanding performance with lots of dancing and her dancers were terrific but I hardly know her songs. Most of these artists are not capable of interaction with the audiences. Celine solo performances, like in Los Vegas, was very ordinary, to my surprise! You saw in your reaction with Dimash how he was genuinely happy to react with his audiences, it’s not like that in other concerts I have attended-- very “ put on “, you know what I mean. That’s how I felt! Take care and be well 😘
