    When I was in college, this was my first watercolor set I had for my watercolor class. I thought they worked great! Since then I’ve tried other higher end brands and am a a Daniel Smith fan, but these are a great beginner set. I still have my paintings from that class from almost 16 years ago and they are not faded

    I enjoyed this review thanks, and actually love the translucent look of these watercolors. To me translucence is lovely. Thanks for the book recommendation.
    I do love to read and would highly recommend the Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley if you haven't read them yet. I've only read the first three so far, but I do love them.

    How have they held up in the pallet? Can you revive them easily with water after they have dried? Great review.

      @MyArtSupplyObsession  Před 4 lety +6

      The revive super easy. Immediately on contact with water.

    Hey, if you leave the reeves to dry in the pans does it crack by any chance?

    • @MyArtSupplyObsession

      Only the lemon yellow in my set cracked once dry.

      Yes, lemon yellow seemed to be the only one that cracked, yet the brilliant red did not dry for a good 2 months. I used the same exact Meeden pan set too. Also, I did not use the red that entire time so

    I have an 18 Reeves set, which has the old packaging label. Seeing the video, I find it surprising that there is no separation between pigment and binder when you poured it into the pan. I'm not sure if the new label had also improved their formula.

      I was looking for a comment like this! I have a 24 set with the old packaging and the separation is super annoying and makes the process harder too

    • @MsVanorak
      @MsVanorak Před 3 lety +3

      if they are in a mainly blue box they are the artists grade and much more pigmented. what is separating out is honey which is what makes them re-wet so beautifully and not dry in the tube or crack in the pan. you will be disappointed with a lot of high end brands after using them!

    I love to read, so feel free to rec books. i am a big fantasy reader myself although the last two years I have been branching out more and trying to find new authors. My library is fortunately awesome about interlibrary loans and online digital books because it’s fairly small....
    Love your swatch videos!
