There is a very big drawback (to me), and that's the fact that you can only have ONE top level topic as the center of your mind map. I want to have floating siblings at the top level and have their "children" interact with each other. This is possible with other tools I tried, but not with Xmind. I don't get why they have this limitation, but for me this means I will continue my search for a good mind map tool. Why post this comment? To save others some time that I had to spend to find this out.
Thanks for this hoz . You definitely deserve many more views and subscribers than you are currently getting. Excellent content with nice humour here and there. I’m fascinated by your accent [I do voice overs for a living). I think I can hear some northern English in there, but there is definitely something from overseas as well. please enlighten me if you can.
I love the outliner mode and wish they expand options to style add icons to topics / sub topics in that mode. Rearranging topics is easy in the outliner mode. It is a mode that is overlooked by a lot of people but there is true value in that mode.
Im sold! been trying to use onenote for a mindmap of all my alevel geography but its such a pain having to reorganize everything the whole time! this looks much more streamlined
@@theycallmehoz of course! one question though- is there any way to turn on an autocorrect mode or to just turn spellcheck off entirely- the red lines under the words are bugging me

Thanks for the walkthrough. I find it difficult that there is overview of all the mindmap files created. I really miss a toolbar on the left side, where I would be able to toggle through my notes.
Hi, I’m looking at starting mind mapping. I’m not finding much comparative, condensed information. I don’t have time to teach myself or trial them all. I have a wish list. Available on all platforms, I have windows pc and iPad / iPhone I would like to add sketches/ drawings/ photos and files to my maps Can I make my nodes into deeper level branches with multiple layers for more complex maps Are there any mind maps that are able to integrate with Ai? Can I sync my google drive? Can I sync my email ( I use outlook) I’m just getting started on this wish list, any suggestions would be appreciated. A short video of the above would be the dream
Hi John. Start with this playlist: XMIND 8 TUTORIAL: HOW TO USE XMIND MIND MAP czcams.com/play/PLqk2_DTMbnU3yqBN37Kk9Db4Yaz1RBnQb.html - that will give you the basics to do almost anything with Xmind (eve. Though it’s an older version in the tutorial, the new version works exactly the same - it’s just nicer). Re AI: I think we’ll start to see ai integration soon across many mind mapping tools - it’s early days yet. Re email Integration: I have t heard of that before. Interesting. How would you use it specifically? As for adding sketches etc that can be achieved by adding a link to your file (you’ll see that in the tutorial)
Thanks for the quick reply. I will defiantly check out those links, and some of your other vids. I’m going to add another item to my wish list, ‘Voice to text’. I am working on heaps of start up business ideas and trying to get things in a structured format that I can work through idea / research / validation / development / implementation / collaboration / realisation. I have a pretty clear idea how I think a product (mind map app ) should look like and behave, but its a massive rabbit hole to go down looking at them all and testing their features. To be honest, I am very surprised that there is such limited info/tutorials/reviews on the subject, and hardly any that is up to date (the tech space is moving so fast that 2 years info is hardly worth looking at), I will be reviewing yours btw.
There’s also another tool called Coggle which is web based - here’s the tutorial for that (they’re all short tutorials): COGGLE MIND MAP TUTORIAL czcams.com/play/PLqk2_DTMbnU32QR56iLfzCJA9sJIrglLs.html I hope this helps you with your research
Thank you for the recommendation. Brilliant review. Subscribed & Notification On. Thank you. And tell me about it, these governments have no money. I see them begging on the television. In their nice houses. In the countryside. They need all the help they could get. LITERALLY.

Thank you Pete. You have a fine ear! I’m from Liverpool but I grew up in Spain.
This review is brilliant.
Concise and and clearly summarized.
Thank you, you really respect the viewers time. I was tired of videos full of bs.
Kudos!

Hey I was looking for the link in description about the diff between free and paid version
I think the best thing to do is check the website as prices can change - also there may be a Black Friday offer

Sorry, is this review on the pro version or the free version?
